Picking 1 game is going to be impossible for Game of the Week Another awesome one, good work. The demo totally hooked me!
Hey guys! First, congrats, we are now, at the moment of writing, 182 in the leaderboard! Thanks again for all the kind word about the game. To show our gratitude here's an update of what's UP! What we are going to work on tomorrow and try to tie up: Endurance Mode Pack Each pack will be availble in an Endurance mode where the goal will be to reach as far as you can without dying in the level progression that you played in the normal mode. Score won't go up as you roll (Too many problem with portal and way to cheat, but will update realtime, so it won't only be negative degree) But, there will be the same bonus from the level, and each succesful level will add you a bonus score on top of that. I'm already excited to see what score people can reach. Endless I will have more information on that Saturday, but we are working hard to bring it ASAP as we know many of you like that. But we have to make sure to not compromise any gameplay. Skip Level We already know how we are going to do it so it's just a matter of time before things show up in your game Easy Pack 20 more levels coming for now That's it for now, I'll update this weekend with, if possible, precise answer and release date !
240 now. Still way too few, but at least it's climbing. Yay! I'm sure the other modes are great too, but I really love levels and the easy ones were great. Also happy with the Skip Level function. There is still something wrong with Game Center for me. This is what I noticed: Yesterday I achieved an in game score of 822,289. My GC score this morning was still 776,073. I replayed an older level for a higher score (thinking the game would only update GC if there was actually a higher score). Now my in game score is 823,789. And then when I checked GC my score there was 822,289. So, it updated GC with the older in game high score, instead of the newer. I got a better score again, my in game score is now 826,889, and now my GC score is 823,789. So, basically, GC seems to always be one updated highscore behind. Also, I noticed that if I got the same highscore in a level that I got before, there still is a NEW! notice next to it. It would be nice if there was only a NEW! notice if the highscore was higher than the previous one.
The upcoming updates sound amazing! Even though I have been quite busy the last few days, this is one of the few iOS games I have made time for! Congrats on the great TA review and for being featured on the AppStore! Keep up the great work and I hope to see more and more people on the leaderboards ^.^
I'm lucky to have you guys, we didn't even realized we were featured on the app store O_O I'm so going crazy now. Hahaha Yea, I noticed it earlier this week, will fix it in the next update ^^
My score is still not registering on the leaderboard. Gamecenter welcomes me back when I play, but isn't working.
if you use ios 6, try to remove the leaderboard but not uninstall the game. remove the app from the task list. and now try re-open it again. It worked for me to fix GC problem.
Looks like the number 2 spot on the leaderboard is still up for grabs. Not that I care much about such things, of course.
When was this released? I swear I don't think I ever saw it mentioned in the Game of the Week discussions
I voted for Penumbear, and I actually hadn't gotten to playing this until after I voted. I would have easily voted for this, Bobbing is just constant fun and the controls/game mechanics are perfect. That'll teach me not to vote too soon each week!
My score isn't registering again. No idea why. It doesn't matter if I set a higher score, the GC score stays the same. iOS 5.1 iPad 1. I also have an iPhone 3GS with iOS 6 that I rarely use for gaming. I deleted and reinstalled the game there, restored a save file from my iPad that I had backed up with iFunbox, and played level 1. That worked, my local highscore was uploaded to GC. I figured I'd try the same on my iPad, so I deleted the game, also said yes to the "delete from GC" question, installed again, restored files from iFunbox backup, played level 1, GC score is still the old one. I also improved my score again, but GC is still the same. So, strange bug.
This game makes my brain feel stupid. Navigating double blue/pink rings makes my brain have a seizure lmao. Add in some green rings with successive color swapping and I'm having a full-out shaking fit on the floor. 25/100 classic and 45/45 easy right now. The great thing is that when replaying a tough level, when you beat it it's almost without thinking, like muscle memory. I think it's just because the controls are so perfect and simple, in the rush of the moment I often confuse the two. Awesome job with the game, I'm having a hell of a time laughing at the difficult, top-notch level design (in a good, "this is crazy" way).
I'm loving the Get Addicted version and going to buy the full version now. The thing is, level 22 won't load for me. As in, it shows an 'empty' HUD and level, and the rest won't load. Any tips how to fix it?
Thanks! I like how you describe it Yes! Sorry about that! Fix has been sent to apple yesterday so it will be fixed in 5-7 day. It's our mistake By the way people, a player named Mastakilla46 took the 2nd spot on the leaderboard! Is it someone from TA?
Very cool game! My mouth frequently calls my thumb names - not sure my brain is involved in this game, well, maybe my reptile brain functions Oh, some remarks to polish the game even more: Yes please separate leaderboards for easy, classic etc. (and keep global total)! And please make it possible to see individual level score without having to finish a level! The menu navigation doesn't feel intuitive. Like when playing a level, I cannot go "up" to the level overview menu. Also, the left and right menu buttons are hard to adopt to, at least for me. Maybe add swipe control in e.g. level menu? Last, I'm right handed so I have controls inverted; with that the first level tutorial instructs wrong. This might impact the (few?) new players who inverted controls before actually playing. EDIT: like Lena I also had some troubles with GC score synch and I'm only just 10 levels in the game. I replayed one or two levels and suddenly the GC score was ok (equal to what the game reported). So maybe the code can be a bit more robust as score submitting is concerned (in case of temp network failures?)
For me, it doesn't have anything to do with network connectivity. Unfortunately, I have no idea what it is. My iPad is of course kind of slow, but normally when it can't connect to GC I get a popup telling me that it cannot connect to GC. With Bobbing, I get always get the GC welcome banner, indicating that it actually did connect. Today, my GC score apparently did not get updated at all, even though I played more than 5 new levels and improved my score on a few more. On my 3GS with iOS 6 everything seems to work fine (after I deleted the game from GC and played again), but on my iPad 1 with iOS 5.1 it acts really strangely (because it does or at least used to sometimes work). On a brighter note: I'm at level 61 now and have over 1.000.000 points. Never thought I'd get this far I even got a perfect score on 40 or so levels. Every time I think that surely this is the level that will make me quit because it seems impossible, and then, suddenly, I somehow finish it.
I've just played through the Get Addicted edition up to the broken level 22 - it certainly lives up to its name. I'm off to buy the full version now - right after I leave a 5 star review. I hope the game does well.
Muscle memory helps a lot. I'll share a little trick for how I play - get into a rhythm. I usually end up replaying an early section of a level many times over until I get through to the next part, and by then I can recite the sequence of motions from memory. It also helps to say the pattern out loud or think through it in your head - e.g. "Left, Right, Right, LeftRight (quickly), Right, Right, etc. It actually helps! ...until you get frustrated, mess it up and end up remembering it wrong.
