It's surprising you seem to like S/S so much, because it's one of the slowest racers in a long time :/ Even ModNation has a better sense of speed.
If you get access to it, distract him, pull the power cord out, wait 30 seconds, put it back in. Wait a bit and it'll be better, or completely **** up your Gears of War 2 profile.
About as appropriate as you talking about some 5-minute iDevice game while we're discussing console racing games.
One thing missing for sure is a boost of some kind in S/S. As I said mate, I'm not a huge fan of racing games, this is practically the first I've bought for PS3/360. I just get a better sense of speed (somehow) in S/S.
i played s/s but i hate the controls and the multiplayer of blur is 10 times better (although i cant join games and only host them)
Yeah it's pretty dull, but it's a design choice, the whole night time/neon thing. Neither game looks as good as the likes of Burnout, Forza, GT, ModNation or even older games like Grid and Dirt.
when i am playing it i got no time to look at the landscapes ( gotta look for items and evade powerups from opponements ) grafic isnt the most important factor in powerup racing games IMO
