I've never bothered with it before I couldn't see a use for it but my netbook has Bluetooth 3 and I was messing around and discovered it could find my ipod. At the minute I'm typing on it while listening to a podcast from my ipod through the netbooks speakers it's actually a handy discovery for me. I'm starting to wonder what other uses Bluetooth has I kno there is headsets I might pick one up for skype actually but I can't think of any other uses. Anyone use it for anything interesting. I'm also wondering what it could do if I added a bluetooth dongle to my desktop I have no idea honestly.
i use bluetooth headphones at the gym. no wire is nice. plus it works from like 35 feet away, it doesn't go through walls very good tho...make sure you get a comfortable pair! i have 2 sets, one over the ear and one with earbuds. the earbuds are pretty uncomfortable after about 30 min. they sound great. also i use the bluetooth to connect to my wiimote and classic controller on my emulators. having a physical controller is wonderful! i cannot express how great it is to have a NES, SNES, gameboy color, gameboy advance, Genesis all on one portable device with a full controller just having a wiimote and my ipad! way simpler then all the wires and cords of the physical systems..
Sony DR-BT140Q - These are my standard iPhone headphones, I picked up a pair for about $60 a year and a half ago and they sound decent enough. I also use the Apple wireless keyboard with my iMac and sync a wiimote to my iPad for emulators. I used to use a bluetooth mouse as well but it always acted screwy and the battery life sucked.
I have a BlueAnt V1 headset that I'd be lost without. It's also handy for local multiplayer games that support it, and have an Apple Bluetooth keyboard that I connect to either my iPad or iPhone when needed. So yeah, it has its uses.
I use bluetooth for music listening once in a while, but it doesn't work with Beatmaker 2, which is what I use my iPod for most frequently.
