Here's some news. Looking like release is next month or March. https://www.facebook.com/castlepixel/photos/a.629267250418340.1073741828.618620968149635/1421698271175230/?type=3&theater
I'll honestly never understand the love for Steam/ computer games. To me it seems pretty obvious that mobile and portability are the future. Maybe I'm in Lala land but I love video games and wouldn't touch anything PC only with a 10 foot pole.
I'll believe it when they make that public. It would be shame if they don't since they've been promoting it here as if they are releasing it on iOS.
Yeh so far I've only seen confirmation for steam only. Developers! If you're smart you'll put it on mobile too, there are a ton of people wanting a game like this on their phones/tablets.
Coming out on Nintendo Switch next week. They ignore all my tweets asking whether it will come to IOS for months but reply to every other persons tweet. Definitly wont be buying on Switch.
I fricking hate when developers do that crap. Ignore everyone that asks a specific question. I havent check in a couple days but the devs of portal knights are/were doing the same thing when asked about controller support for the iOS version. Id rather they lie to cover a surprise release then just ignore . If you plan on it by dont want to reveal it yet just say no lol
My guess is they have an agreement not to comment on other platforms since it's currently a Nintendo Switch exclusive, so I'd cut them some slack. Given that this was originally conceived as a mobile game though I'd say it's pretty likely we'll see it on mobile someday.
not that i like this game so much, in fact i really dont care, but what about this thread that started in 2015 and they said its coming on winter 2015. all the people that like this genre will wait and spend their time on this thread just to watch on every progress. ignore people that give their support on mobile when you get another deal is never good to me. well again, im just giving out my opinion.
Yeh I did a little looking and when I saw switch exclusive it hit me, lol. Honestly if it ever does make it to iOS, by then I probably wont care anymore. I mean I followed the game for a bit at first but forgot about it. Theres been a lot of games that originally were being developed for mobile and then the devs decides to go elsewhere. IMO us hardcore mobile gamers dont have much of a future on the platform. Switches release killed it.
Hi everyone, sorry about the silence! It's been a busy year especially with the ever changing App Stores and permanent update requirements. Blossom Tales reached a roadblock this year as the 3rd party engine had big trouble to run on newer iOS software. Permanent frame rate issues, CPU overheating (high battery usage) which was not acceptable for our quality standard. To fix it we'd have needed a low level coding specialist and that was too expensive to do because the iOS premium market is suffering heavily. Top 5 Paid charts today is like Top 100, 2 years ago. Less sales year over year when comparing same chart positions. The console market and Switch is still very profitable for premium games so the Nintendo Switch enabled us to fix a lot of the codebase. If there's still enough interest in paid core game experiences we'll follow-up next year in a new porting effort.
There is just no easy or short answer to this which would fit into an adequate tweet. However, we reply to all emails properly. Please don't expect the social media team to have answers for everything. Thanks for your understanding!
