That's what it said when I tried to download it. I went to the Facebook page and they have a picture of it, and it says that it's an error. So, I guess they are working to resolve it.
I got a picture of a monitor with a circle with a line through it and a bunch of Chinese writing. ??????/
It's actually korean! I had to use google translate and it tells you that the file is too big. It's an error that AppsAsia posted on their Facebook. So they are probably working on it.
Ok! What a trip. That's cool! I would've never bothered with any of that. Figure whenever they get it together I'll know.
Ok so I got the second link last night but it doesn't seem to work for me. Sorry for my noobeshnesh, but can someone here give me a rundown on what to do with the link.
1. Download the free version of WinZip from cnet.com. 2. Download the link that AppsAsia gives you. 3. Once it's done downloading click on the download. It should automatically open up in WinZip. It will be called Beta. 4. Right click on it and choose extract. This will open up a new window. Don't click any files in the new window; just click unzip. 5. After you click unzip you should see the sile unzip and open up in your computer section. 6. It will be highlighted and called Beta. Drag that file into your app section of itunes. 7. Sync your device and it will be on there!!! If you, or anybody else, needs help just ask!
You forgot a step, you MUST drag the mobileprovisions file also, or iTunes will not let you transfer it to you iDevice
I'm pretty sure the mobile provisions are included in the the file. That's why we send our UDID. I only dragged and dropped one file. When I first ever had to figure this out, it seemed like mobile provisions were for jail broken iDevices.
If you download the file from the internet it automatically opens up in WinZip. If you don't double click the Beta folder, you can extract the whole folder/file at once. Then you drag and drop it. I guess, yeah, the folder contains the mobile provisions in it. I know the extra step that your'e talking about, but you shouldn't have to do it.
So, after a couple of unsuccessful attempts, and now it's on my ipod, I ran it and so far it's just the intro, picked which side I wanted to be on, then it quit. Tried a bunch of times to start again, and so far, it won't begin/open again. Stuck on title screen, keeps thinking, and that's it. Anyone else experiencing the same thing now?
Yeah, it's an unfortunate beta bug. Just send in your crash reports, so that they can make a better build. I sent mine in earlier today. They're Korean based, so their day is just now starting. Oh yeah, if you need help with the crash logs just post it!
Thank you brother, sorry I was away. I will try it right now Edit: Yay I have it on my iPhone, time to test this goodie
No problem! Like I said before, it's a beta bug. Just send in your crash reports to help speed up the new build!!!
Hey, are you sending your posts to the devs facebook page? What method are you using to convey problems, impressions, ideas, as you find them, etc. to them? I don't facebook, tweet, etc, and actually I'm used to using testflight which to me is much easier, but here, the dev said I could send my little journal in it's entirety in a word document to him after the beta is finished. But I want my comments to be viable to the game as the game evolves. Does that make sense? So, any advice on this one from you?
Yeah, I've been using facebook since the dev asked, but i don't particularly like this method. I also have been sending emails, as well, because this is the most efficient way to go over things with developers. For example, I'm testing 3 other games that use TestFlight, but the best way to talk to a developer about development/bugs is through personal/feedback email. The reason is because you can elaborate on the problem that you're, presonally, experiencing with the game and it seems as if they check email more than facebook, IMO. You also don't get lost in the barrage of facebook comments. Here's what I suggest: send your crash reports using winzip to [email protected] and in the email you can paste your journal. If you don't send your crash report then just send your journal to the email imentioned and skip the winzip part. This is a problem that quite a few people have been experiencing. Send in crash reports!!! You can, also, delete the game and redownload it to your phone, but as soon as you close it it'll stop working again.
Guys the dev asked us to send crash reports to [email protected]. Not sure what FB is for as my post got removed in there.
