There's a hidden potion in the block next to the bouncing spike balls. Use it to hop on a spike ball and double jump to reach the blue star. I'm standing on top of where the potion is hidden in the 2nd screenshot.
You can always find a blue flower right above or below a hidden blue star. Once I'd figured that out I always found all 3 blue stars in my first run through a level. Great game, although I find it a lot easier than the first Bloo Kid. The chiptune soundtrack is spectacular.
I'm finding it pretty difficult (as far as completing all of the goals like collecting stars and such), but in a good way controls are great, tons of bad guy types so I'm really enjoying it
Don't get me wrong: i love what the dev did with this sequel and some of the medals are a real challenge but compared with getting all stars in some of the later levels in the first installment, this one - to me - feels a lot easier. It literally took me months to get all stars in Bloo Kid 1. I'm almost finished with Bloo Kid 2 after a few days. Playing in normal mode, though. Will start a new game in hard mode when I 'm done. I'm pretty sure difficulty will ramp up in future updates, as well.
yes, one thing it definitely needs is more levels. 27 will keep people that want to collect everything busy for a while, but I really just like to get a few of the accomplishments and move on. Don't like repeating levels too much so adding more will be great
The balloon stars are what's giving me fits. Can usually manage all the others but these balloon stars are down right evil sometimes. Can't get the one for level 1-7 now. Edit: Finally got the 1-7 balloon.
It's awesome to see that you guys really enjoy the game! And it's funny to see how you all "unriddle" all the little secrets I have put into it, like the stuff with the blue flowers! I just want to emphasize that the game is NOT finished yet! I am already working on more content. There will be new worlds available via content updates in the near future, and the difficulty of these levels will increase, too. I am also planning to add some "ultra-hard special levels" to each world (including the already existing worlds), that can be unlocked once you got enough stars. I know that only a small percentage of all "players" will unlock those levels, but its totally worth it for me. Because those are the real "fans" and those are the people that this game was made for. There will also be more "game-modes" once the game is content-complete. So stay tuned and tell everyone about the game =)
I am a platformer fan , but just not very good . So I am glad you put in difficulty modes , easy is hard enough for me . It does mean that although I am a very bad player I can still enjoy the game without getting frustrated to fast! Somewhere between play wonderboy in the arcades and the present I lost my reflexes but not my love for the genre. Thanks again for a great game !
Came here to rage about the ads in between the levels. Then I realized you included an IAP to remove the ads. So, instead, I'd like to thank you for using a very generous monetization scheme while allowing your game to be a free download. I'm enjoying it a lot, and I hope it does well on that app store.
What does everybody think about the bosses? Which one is your favourite? Anything to complain about? Too hard? Too easy?
The bosses look great, especially the first one, which is also my favourite (love the Kirby reference ). My feeling is that the difficulty is just about right. Once you figure out their patterns they are not too hard to beat but you still need to memorize the patterns, move fast and precise to make it out of the fight unharmed and get that heart medal. That is the most difficult part, I think. It feels just like a rhythm game and I quite like that in boss fights. My favourite thing in these fights, however, is that you still have to find blue stars and chase the red balloon. It's not just 'fight and move on to the next world' like in most other games.
I'm having real teouble with the second blue star on the second boss. Spoiler I've managed to fi d it under the sand near the left edge, but by the time I sink low enough to collect it, I die vefore I can het back up. I'm playing on Medium difficulty. Am I missing something? Edit: never mind. Worked it out immediately after posting. 54/54 on the first two worlds. Now on to World 3.
I just realized that you can vote for BLOO KID 2 for Game of the Week here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=221318 If you haven't done it yet, please vote for BLOO KID 2
It's not official yet, but looks like Bloo Kid 2 won the GoTW poll. Congrats to the dev. It's well deserved!
Wow, that's cool! I played a couple of the other nominees as well and winning against the likes of BLOCK LEGEND and MINES OF MARS is definetely an achievement
Hi guys (and girls of course!) It's been a long time, but I am back with good news! The content for the first update of BLOO KID 2 is finished. We are currently testing the game and hope to submit the new version to the App Store within the next few days
