Awesome tip. Didn't know you have to hold down the jump button to get a higher bounce off an enemy. Makes things that seemed impossible to reach much easier now... Thanks for the heads up...
Best platforming I've done on iOS! Up there with Mikey Shorts! Absolutely fantastic controls! So much fun! Who needs Mario? LOL !
I think I can honestly say this is the best traditional platformer released on iOS in a LONG time. Leaning towards it being my GotW. Far surpasses the original and any expectations I had.
Can only add to all the positive comments, big fan of the game, especially how you can customize the buttons. Great platformer and looking forward to MFI support!
Yupperz, completely agree!!! Even though MCG got an update, I"m still playing this one, which is a HUGE deal. =oP
Great to hear that you guys like the game that much! We are already working on the android and wp version of the game, but we will work hard to bring you controller support soon!
Can't wait for more! I picked this up and immediately noticed a number of subtle improvement over the original that proves the developer is really putting a lot of effort into Bloo. The boss fights are clever throwbacks and the controls are rock solid. Really solid platformer!
Absolutely loving this game! Didn't realise th 1-3 balloon was there, was about to come here to report a bug! Also love that there are bosses. Too many platformers lack this aspect three days. This is pure old Sokol fun!!
Not much of a trick here, just do a high bounce off the slime right in front of the door, the double jump when you're close to it. And heh, I was JUST about to post that I can't get the time goal on 2-3, but I finally managed to shave off the extra half second, and finished with less than a second to spare!
I think the only thing this game is missing is a 'best time' measure. I'm sure the hardcore platformer gamers would like to have a go at speedruns.
Guess it doesn't keep your best time, but I'm sure you know there's a timer with a set limit to get that goal for each level. And for a lot of them, it isn't easy. But I'm not great at speed platformers and, frankly, am happy to have an awesome new, more traditional long-form platformer. There's tons of speed platformers on iOS but not enough really good platformers in the Mario-esque vein.
We have planned to add a "time-attack" mode where you'll get leaderboards for all "world-times". This mode will be unlocked once you have beaten the complete game. So at the moment, the game is not complete yet, only three out of five worlds are available. But with future updates we will include more worlds and finally the time-attack mode =)
Brilliant news! I mean the game is amazing the way it is, but time attack would be icing on the cake!
