I also had the same question. Are there any differences except from the graphics? Or is it just that? Do not get me wrong it maybe a great game but having hay day at my phone i do not think i need something similar.

No, this is literally HayDay with voxel graphics...I really don't understand the gushing praise I'm seeing here...not a BAD game whatsoever but not original either....

Also have the same question about how it differs from Hay Day or Stardew Valley!
At this point (only level 6) I would say I'm getting the same exact vibe between Hay Day and this game (haven't played Stardew Valley but didn't realize it would also have the same gameplay as iOS mobile games).
Love the graphics, but for me has already fallen prey to two of my main farming game dislikes: limited storage space and needing (and not having) specific tools to remove trees and rocks. :(
So far not seeing much difference between this and the other dozen farming games on my phone.... but graphics are well done.

I've had the beta of this for quite a while. It's a very good farming game and I highly recommend anyone interested download and try it.

I don't know what are you people talking about... Sorry but I have to strongly disagree. I've played beta A LOT and here are my thoughts:

First of all - first minutes with Blocky Farm are incredibly immersive. You're not just told "click here" "click there". You can already play the game, but you receive massive help from the people in game.

Second of all - you get to drive tracktor! It's super fun, you get to mow, you get to deliver goods to the town etc. You have much more to do here than in HayDay.

Third - you get non-invasive quests from people and you work relationship with them. You get more things if you reach good relationship.

Fourth - beautiful 3d graphics with 60fps smooth gameplay... Do you know how hard it is to do? And even if you don't care - it's simply beautiful while HayDay is just "ok".

Fifht - many little details you can find out. After 2-3 months of playing the game I still find some little funny/cute/interesting things in game. Just try ;)

Last but not least (the most important imo) - you get pets! Those are a) cute, b) fun, c) just great!
You can give pets gadgets, play with them with multiple different toys (some super-fun), dress them etc.

Give the game a try - it's super fun.

I've been playing Blocky Farm since the beta, and I can say it differs from Hey Day in middle/late game, where are some unique features to unlock, such as pets or interactive tractor.
    Anyway good job guys!

Blocky Farms is a Unique voxel Style Farm game, with the ability to decorate your farm, Animals & Pets this caught my eye it’s blocky style one of which we have yet to see on the store in a farming game.
When you first start it’s slow, but continue with it, it gets better you unlock more decor you earn more things while slow it’s still fun.
Blocky Farms plays Offline & On where many games require online WiFi connection.
You get a tractor to drive yes can be frustrating at first but build up your land to the tractor and it will become a useful machine in your farm.
You can eventually Get Hats and glasses for your many animals which is a unique feature to this game.
It’s style sets it out from the many farming games on the store given its voxel appearance, you can grow lots of different crops, place down many decorations with each update there’s stuff given.
You can shop on the market for items, sell your own, go to the town where there’s a casino, a pet shop even a deed seller to get plots to unlock your land.

This is a superb farming game that sets its own path, it’s unique, with more to come like mining & fishing & more decorations I’m sure are to come, play it a while try a couple weeks I’m sure it will grown on you like it did with me I adore the cute animals, dressing my animals up and the high zoom in ability to get pictures of my cute animals, I love the decor while I hope more comes what we have now is perfect for creating nice farms.
Compared to hay day I like this one better it’s style is much more unique!

Having played some Stardew Valley, a lot of Hay Day and a little of Blocky farm:
I don't think the comparison to Stardew Valley is apt.
The comparison to Hay Day is.
    The differences between them are
    1)obviously the style
    2)the pet interaction
    3)the traktor driving
    4) one is new with dedicated devs who constantly work on it, the other has the formula down pat and is only updating events.

Because 2 and 3 are minimal compared to 1) -the style, choose which you like best -if you only have room for one farming game.
Gameplay wise, they are very similar and the pet and tractor will not make as big a difference as the style. Imho, it all depends on what you prefer -voxel or not.

Thanks for all your replies! I think this one summarized the real differences the best. Some other aspects mentioned by previous posters, such as decorating farm, trading, town, expanding land, etc. are either always in Hayday or added years ago.

1)obviously the style -- It's quite subjective, but actually the style of this game is the biggest turn down for me. Voxel/pixle art/retro style are really not my thing.

2)the pet interaction -- Hayday has pets for years (and recently added zoo animals). You have some interaction like feeding them, "touching" them, you just cannot play toys with them or dress them. Which is fine. If I want interactive pets I play other games, and dressing pets is always a silly idea to me.

3)the traktor driving -- Couldn't care less about tractor

    4) one is new with dedicated devs who constantly work on it, the other has the formula down pat and is only updating events. -- Not quite true though. Hayday is adding new features/improving existing features with almost every update. They sure slowed down these couple of years, but with so many features added in place over the years, really couldn't complain more :p

Anyway, I'm glad to see another well-made farming game released, but as of mobile farming, I guess Hayday and Harvest Moon will be sufficient for me for now :)

This game shouldn't be compared to Stardew Valley. That's pretty misleading. This feels like FarmVille or Hay Day.

    Lame

Blocky Cars Online came out on the 21st... I wonder if they got the same letter?

    It's Full Fat isn't it?

Their games are terrible. More money than talent. More lawyers than game designers. They made their money doing ports for EA that mislead many gamers. Their blocky games seem to be minecraft adventures rip offs that no one plays. Never seen them on TouchArcade.

There are more games called Blocky than you can shake a box at...

I don't see how their lawyers have a leg to stand on. They're picking on you guys because you're new I guess.

They'd have to sue a lot of people to get the name blocky TM.

    They're bluffing.
    Let them complain.
Record it all. Write the other Blocky games and see if they're being threatened. You all may be able to sue them for harassment and be able to force a settlement.

My blocky farm game has a pretty big bug. It plays just like hayday and nothing like stardew valley. Hopefully the devs fix this major issue.

Don’t be fooled, this has absolutely nothing in common with Stardew Valley, except for there is a farming aspect. It’s shameful to even group these two games in the same category. Stardew is Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon with RPG elements and mining mixed in. This game is another FarmVille F2P ad-based, premium currency, wait time “game”.

Indeed. I dropped Hay Day because of the timers, and that's pretty much the first mechanic we run into here. I don't need a game that makes me feel guilty if I don't tend to it every minute of my spare time.

I really really wanted to like this game but I feel like it’s something I’ve played before. It does have some different ideas that separate it somewhat from every other farming social sim, but it doesn’t do enough to compel me to continue playing it. It just feels like more of the same. The art style is nice, but the hypervoxel formula isn’t enough for me either. I wish the dev a ton of success. It really does look like they put a lot of time and effort into this game.
