Has anyone else noticed that, when in a town, there are actually three vendors you can visit, not just one. You get to the other two by tapping on them at the top. Sometimes one of the vendors is selling other locations for 100 g, like mountains, castle, forest, ect. Does anyone know what thee do? As far as I can tell they are only cosmetic though I was wondering if maybe they changed the type of enemies you face. I am enjoying the game but I think that the walking periods are too short sometimes. I feel like after battle ends I blink and the next one has already started. Also it seems like there isn't enough to do during the walking periods (I guess this is a little contradictory with my last complaint but wherever...). You grab the xp and coins pretty fast and after that you're just wasting time getting tiles that have no effect in walking mode. Maybe it would be better if more tiles changed like the swords do, so they have some kind of impact during the non-combat periods. Overall definitely emjoying this though I think I would've given it 4 or 4.5 stars, not 5.
ok everything looks great on this game but what is the carrot on the stick? is it just unlocking new classes? is there progression system?
People are saying they like the game in spite of that known issue. And they're anticipating that the developers will probably resolve it. Meanwhile, it displays fine on my iPhone, so not everyone is affected by it.
When I first started playing, I was eagerly collecting the EXP tiles while in walking mode... but then I realized that not collecting the EXP tiles, means they all turn into blades (attacks) when it switches to combat mode. So, i've been using walking mode to quickly regain shield and health, then to put EXP tiles together in a block. That way, once combat mode starts, I immediately have a reasonable block of swords to attack with.
A couple more observations, in case anyone missed them: - The red turn icons on the right show how many turns you have before the next enemy attack. - Tapping the descriptive text at the top of the screen, opens a bigger window. - Tapping the little man on the right, opens a status window, showing quests. - Doesn't seem to be a way to exit a game in progress. Or am I blind? Although if you close the game via the task bar, when you open it next, it asks if you want to resume the current game. - Tapping the sun on the main menu displays credits. - After several games, haven't found anything to EQUIP. But the help screen picture shows weapons like broadsword. - When you unlock a character (using collected star-blocks) you can choose any of the characters to unlock. ie: You don't have to do the top one... I chose to unlock the last character in the list first. Presumably it's the same with regions. - When choosing which ITEM to use, seems to be a bug whereby it won't let me choose one of the items available.
Look I see everyone likes the game. That can play it. But I think it's beyond rude to develop a game it's got a coupe fairly large bugs such as screen cut off and quests not finishing and I see NO RESPONSE from the Devs. That's bull sheet. That's called bad business. At this point I will delete and ask for a refund seeing as the Devs don't care about people buying something broken from them and they cannot even address it. I am typically very mellow and not picky but the total lack of interest from the Devs on reading any threads and obviously not even testing the game has got under my skin.
This isn't the developers website, so they're not really obligated to respond to anything raised here. How long ago did you email their support address ([email protected]) and how many days have you given them to respond?
Thanks for the tip on the vendors. I did buy the locations but when I started a new game, they weren't unlocked. Did it work for you? Update: Buying a new location for 100 only lets you play it in that game. Still can't find any equipment. Any luck, anyone else?
Just popped in to say fun game. I have an ipad mini so I know about the cut off sides. However, I see alot of people getting angry at the Devs for ignoring this thread, unless I missed it, the Devs haven't posted in here at all, and may have no clue this thread even exists, so I dont think they are "ignoring" it. Someone above suggested contacting one the contacts left in the OP.
That's all well and good. But tell me a site bigger then TA for iOS games? Good Devs follow the threads and comments and respond very quick to issues. I see it all the time with good Devs. This game plays like it wasn't tested. Who puts out a iOS game today and doesn't follow feedback and comments and issues?
I sent the devs an email about the problem early this morning no reply yet as my game is clipped on both sides so I can't play. But I agree they need to let people know they care. TA giving it 5 stars was a bit hasty though. I gave it 1 star because there's no zero. A mistake like this is really inexcusable. Before you release any game its a basic principle to check it fits the screens it's meant to play on. How could any dev forget something like that beats me.
Guys quick question,it says 100+ quests, but is there a story that you eventually complete or is it endless with randomized content/objectives? Thanks in advance.
What's really alarming to me is its clear it wasn't even tested before release because bugs aside its impossible to miss the screen cut off. This oversight just betrays the hard truth that NO testing went into this at all. Appalling. Is there a patch in the works, does anyone know? Has the dev acknowledged he knows about the issue? How long for a patch?
Jebus Christ people, the game is not unplayable. The cut-off is annoying, and it is a stupid mistake, but it has not rendered the game unplayable, as you can see the entire play field even with the sides cut off. Also, the devs have posted on Twitter that they are working on a fix: "So we incredibly apologize for the bugs! We're literally on the floor of #bitsummit bugfixing away. pic.twitter.com/5hj7tl62JQ" Just FYI guys: the world doesn't revolve around Touch Arcade. If you're looking for news about a dev, going to their Twitter is hardly too much to ask. Don't just sit here and wait for them to come to us - show some initiative. Not only would you have found the information I just posted, but you would have also realized that they are at the BitSummit expo right now, so answering all your mails may be a bit difficult right now. Patience is a virtue, kids.
This app crashes more than demo derby drivers on my itouch4. I can hit start... Uh... One time I got to see the card grid. That was neat.
Thanks for letting us know much appreciated. Is there any other way to see my gold amount? Its cut off so when I want to buy stuff I don't know how much I have?
So... i decided to buy this for my iphone instead since there are still issues on screen bleeding on the ipad air and... ...This game is sooooo damn good. $2 well spent. Now if the dev updates to iron out the kinks and the obvious flaws, this game is definitely GotY material for me.
