Man I am loving the update, now I can play it on my iPad air and with the quest fix I am earning starblocks alot more now!
Also what is the point of items we can equip? I bought a few now and none of their effects happen when I buy them..... Started a new game as well and bought the golem armor which should raise my Vit, it says on the stat sheet that's my vit is 3 + 10, but my health nor my armor has changed it's still the same base stats? Obviously I don't think this is working as intended and might want to look it up wasted a few gold stars equpping different types of armor before starting my games
I'm getting into it more now. The high number of random encounters between each boss was really boring me at first considering how easy they first appear, but now I've realised you need to dispatch them much more smartly so you can save a decent board for the next boss encounter. Building up little groups of tiles near the bottom that you can save for a tough fight later seems a better strategy than just mindlessly making every match possible, which is what I was originally doing.
Game Center and leader boards seem unlikely given the large amount of unlockable characters with different perks that aren't necessarily balanced. Also, you can purchase items with in-game currency to give you an advantage that's not really based on skill alone distorting any sort of ranking system. Even considering Game Center would seem like a mess.
Was a really fast update. Good job on that devs! I'm seeing most people happy things are working as intended with a few crashes aside. I'm in the latter category. I've posted a few times with fellow TA users, and I was wondering if the next planned update entailed some stability tweaks? This game is pretty fun and I'd love to be able to play it smoothly. I know things take time so ill gladly wait for my day in the sun. That's just my 199 cents worth. ^_^
I think the update has made the game too easy, erring on side of boring. At level 20 game crashed on me when playing Blockscaliber... Sigh...
So, I'm currently working on balancing right now as well as some other small bugfixes. There's a lot I still want to add that'd increase usability quite a lot (e.g. quest progress, better shop selection, etc.). And of course, that weird crashing bug on the gameover screen. Magic right now is incredibly overpowered and working on that right now. The witches skill right now is what does it I think. The crashes are all being noted down right now and I'll be fixing them best I can. Some of the items are also kind of bugged and balanced a bit oddly (Enchanted sword has better stats and costs LESS than the Steel sword? Like, really, come on Alvin). Next up is also Gamecenter. I'd have to do it for Android as well, which depending on the library won't be too bad. But then maybe achievements as well? That might be cool too. The quest system supports such things like that at the moment. However after the balance I might reset highscores, possibly. It's not really necessary but if people want gamecenter I might have to (which also, the highscores screen shows the same Hero texture everytime, ugh). What do you guys think? Also thinking about adding different difficulties as well! At most it'd be easy, normal, hard difficulties, with a leaderboard for each of them. I also haven't taken a day off in almost 3 months or so and currently trying to help ship a game for my actual job very soon as well. So please understand if I might go black for a day or two as I rest up. Also holy crap lv20?! Good on you! I never even managed to get that far myself.
Thanks for your update and mention I was getting to Level 12 before the update and Level 20 was where I was at before the game died on me - it reset back to Level 14 which I guess was the last time there was some sort of auto save by the game. As everyone says the witch / magic is overpowered but I believe that would be less of an issue if power sword attack squares were not available when playing as a magic user as the same benefit does not apply in reverse for fighters. I am guessing the witch situation was because it was too difficult at this point in time to give each class it's own power attack squares that did nothing if a different class used them ? And as for progress - you need to keep hearts or buy equipment that will enable you to collect hearts quickly as often it is a boss followed very quickly by another tougher opponent that kills you I found. I like the game - I am looking forward to further updates that will get me back into it thanks
Been playing since the update but only getting chances on break at work really, I love that the game is something I can easily play for however long I have at break. A lot of games I can't open as they require too much time to do one thing or you must complete a whole level before it saves with this I can quit whenever and carry on later. I like your post about working on the game still as a few little touches here and there would help but overall I'm happy I purchased the game. You guys all even reminded me about 10000000 which I forgot all about and just purchased that too.
Hoping this doesn't happen to me I just got the witch as my first buy which is making things much easier now than with the original guy.
Fantastic game, with one major bug that I posted about a while ago: the shield system isn't very reliable, it doesn't take enough shields from me. I think that you're probably using the same variable for health and shield, since they both decrease in equal amounts for me, no matter whether or not they should. Or I'm crazy and don't know what I'm talking about EDIT: I have no idea what I'm talking about. The variable can't be the same. However, the shield system is still pretty wack, and I was wondering if anyone else had any trouble/experiences with it.
