Yeh that's much better, being able to arm your barracks was useful in getting the cheating swine who destroyed your barracks while you were up the other end. Also the replenishing minerals were handy for replacing lost weaponry. Much better game now. Tho it did just crash on me just as I was aboot to win. Dang! Was that because of low power? I've noticed games quitting when I'm low on power but not other times.
It is a likely cause. I always have my iPad charging when I play anything. Many of my games are literal battery chompers, lmao.
This game's way too unbalanced in favour of pay to win. It gets so hard to win that the only choice is keep losing or pay to win. I don't want to win from buying invincibles but I don't want to be fighting against 2 bosses either. I was just playing a mission where I had cannons and guns high up all over the place and right beside the enemies fortress then apart from the enemy's general another boss came into the game destroying all my reinforced blocks and from an overwhelming victory I was pushed right back and defeated. That's not a challenge but inserted into the game to force IAP sales. So if I bought a 100 revives and invincibles I could have easily won then where's the fun? But it's certainly no fun losing to a cheating AI. This is an unbalanced game built around pay to win model. It's just no fun because winning is made so dependent on pay to win. Yes some will be able to beat it but the model,is based on creating frustration so you'll give up and pay to win. Deleting this as its a waste of my time trying to beat the unbeatable. Very unfair game.
It is not unbeatable. There are several people who have beaten the game. It is possible, but just takes skills. If you do not have that skill, do not say the game is "unbeatable". Sure, you can say the hard missions need to be nerfed, but do not say it is impossible, for it is not.
Also, your usable items are capped at 5 per game. Edit: Yo, Explosion, you got a vid for Blockbots 5 for Block Men? I always end up getting my face punched into my skull by the time the first bot barracks is destroyed.
Lv 2 and Lv 3 are worth it now as before the update Lv 2 blocks only gave 50hp more then Lv 1 blocks and only 100hp more for Lv 3. Now they give 200 and 400 more hp the Lv 1 blocks
We're sorry you feel that way, but we've had numerous testers (including all of us at FM) complete the game 100% without any use of consumables, and I can guarantee no mission is unbeatable. That being said, we're going to continually look at balance and do whatever we can to make the game better! We like to make games that we like playing, which admittedly are usually more difficult and challenging, but we're also just regular guys that aren't going to get everything perfect, right off the bat... We are going to keep working to get it as close to perfect as possible though! Unfortunately with the way updates are going lately, its taking a lot longer to correct issues than we hoped, but that's just something we're going to have to deal with.
The main thing you need is minerals to start the game and set up defenses and they have to be bought. It's better that you now get some points for losing so you can buy minerals but its essential to have a defense immediately before you go after a node. Ok I was doing something wrong but is it my fault? I just noticed you can equip your soldiers by pausing the game. It would help knowing that to start with as it makes a huge difference. So I equipped mine with super solder and rocket launcher and won but this game's help or Instructions does leave a lot to be desired. I would personally suggest a PRACTICE MODE. So that you can try out the game and get hints about what kind of things you can do. It's not just a matter of skill but more importantly knowing what your options are and this is where the game lacks a proper tutorial.
Yep, we actually think these changes are probably one of the biggest (though most underrated) changes in the update! HUGE advantage to barricade up with T3 blocks now, which can really take a beating!
Hmmm... the very first mission forces you to play a tutorial, including explaining how to pause, equip weapons, capture points, build defenses, use abilities, and just about everything else in the game... Its not even possible to skip unless you just tapped through the entire thing without reading it...
This. If you skip through a tutorial, especially on an RTS game, you clearly don't have any patience with the game, and you'll be stuck on what to do. That being said, learn strategies, and develop your own. I know I have, and having a strategy to conquer your foes really pays off in the end. It's not a pay to win game at all, either. The biggest Rare Minerals pack is only $10 for the love of Pete, and that's 100k Rare Minerals—enough to purchase about everything. But it isn't even needed. That's another philosophy about Foursaken. Also just beat the entirety of Earth III as Gobs. I thought it would have been much more difficult than what I thought... I was seriously wrong, haha.
You're correct but there's a lot of detail in this game and I didn't find the tutorial very helpful in game as I couldn't remember everything. Maybe a button in game to equip your soldiers would be helpful. Where I initially had my worst problems were getting off the mark. I found myself being attacked before I had enough minerals to set up a defense while my enemy already had his defenses set up???? AI gets a head start? Why? Well I think either both me and the enemy should be building or should be set up. How does it work fairly that the enemy is all set up defenses and all ready to attack and I'm struggling to catch a node? We should both start on an equal footing. Why does the enemy get a base set up in advance while I have to build from scratch?? This, I believe is the main problem some people have had. Giving the enemy a head start is cheating.
Scenarios... You need to build structures to have a stable defense against waves, while your units flow in to take care of the offense. (And you access your barracks and armory with the ||| button)
Yes I'm getting the hang of it but often I am winning and have even destroyed half their base yet they keep calling on reserves and by reserves I mean kind of boss reserves. I can't compete. I got driven back and my own base destroyed. Mission 4 the 1st world. Even with super soldiers and best defenses once the enemy released his last wave of 'bosses' I got annihilated. I had destroyed all their base guns and defenses and half the tent then they come swarming out for a 3rd time. I handled it twice but 3 times?? What can I use against these bosses that's effective?
Anyone found problems with scrolling. A couple of times during the game my map was kind if free scroll. I couldn't control it anymore. I wanted to scroll back and forward but it went round in circles using only one finger. Is this a bug as I've encountered it a few times?
There's a difference between being challenging and just plain too hard to enjoy and this falls in the later category. It's very, very hard to progress. It should be difficult but not insanely difficult. Maybe some difficulty levels?
Here, although all these vids are pre update so for every node you want to hold for as long as possible now even if it's just placing some cheap blocks to by time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw8L0uPrbZo The game has a steep learning curve for new players but honestly it's mostly just trial and error such as figuring out what times the reinforcements come and how to handle them as well as using the right equipment to counter.
^ this. Like a lot of strategy games you have to figure out what happens when and where before you can really come up with a good plan of attack. It's all about trial and error. You may have to get dominated a few times before you really get the hang of a level. And as far as the enemy having their defenses built before you start just think of it like you are invading their home world and taking over their power nodes to build your offense in order to take them down. Just kind of makes sense that they would have some defense in place.
