Mission 5 for Gobbo is crashed for me. Haven't triend after that I'm also not receiving the minerals I won in multiplayer (yes I actually won some games gr3nade)
Looking into charger turret. As for mineral sink, currently there are consumable powerups you can get which would help you beat any mission (scroll to bottom of home planet list). Which, btw - those consumable powerups ARE there to help anyone having problems with any particular mission. Of course they're not supposed to be required by any means (we'll be tweaking difficulty as needed - first update gives a lot of options like better buildings and stronger blocks which should help for ex), but they are there as a crutch, just in case. Its a bug :/ Fixed for 1st update. Interesting... played about 15 matches in a row last night with no breaks! Changelog so far for next update, which we'll be submitting today - has a few other minor things not mentioned here. Update added a new endless mode on each planet that combines many elements of the first Block Fortress with this version added two new usable items (Reinforce and Mineral Shipment) all players now start off with several free usable items to help in battle the barracks now projects a build radius around it improved drag controls - added pinch zooming and two-finger pivoting to rotate the camera resource blocks now give an additional gradual flow of up to 50 minerals when captured made Goblock stage 4 easier fixed a bug where you didnt earn rare minerals in multiplayer games you now earn more rare minerals for multiplayer games drastically increased the build radius and height around resource nodes, allowing for much more flexibility when designing your defenses drastically increased the hp of level 2 and 3 building blocks fixed some crashing issues fixed Zomblock mission 5 bug where the map would go dark fixed a bug where the sounds for sniper rifles wouldnt play fixed a bug where Brutes mutate ability would not increase its move speed
Can anyone help me , Im stuck and its taking forever , its getting bored if this continues .... Its a premium game and I dont expect it to force me buy Iap .
Of course... you don't need IAP at all - heck, you don't even need IAP to get the consumable items. That being said, there definitely is a level of strategy that is required to beat the harder missions... AND, we're doing quite a few little things that should make most of the missions easier, overall in the 1st update (more freedom to build you defenses, more minerals, etc). Are those missions all the ones you're stuck on right now? Do you have mini-guns yet?
Why can some of the races teleport a massive assault team over to your base and destroy it in seconds? Why can any of the races even spawn 30 units instantly and have them destroy your army anyway? It doesn't seem like that's the point of this type of game. If the enemy can teleport right past all your defenses anyway, why can we even build them? It just seems really weird that the "difficulty" of this game comes from giant instant armys that destroy your barracks before your hero can even get to them? Will this be changed? Does anyone have any tips on how to counter theses attacks?
Does the reward depend on your rating? That would be nice Yes, build near your barracks to counter teleports and equip your units with AOE weapons to dodge huge armies (I think you're talking about zomblocks)
Foursaken, my concern with this update is it may make the game "too easy" - would you consider adding a "Hard or Hardcore" difficulty where we can start from 0% complete VS even harder odds than current status of game and also get original rules (no build on base, limit height of blocks, no extra mineral flow). I feel once I personally beat 100% of each world with each Race, i would love for another challenge to keep me occupied!
Do you have a specific mission in mind? You should be building up pretty strong defenses on each node as you progress through the map. Also in the next update we've got a whole bunch of things that should help out (for example being able to build near your base, more minerals, etc).
I agree with being able to build on your barracks, but I'm not sure how I feel about the flow of 50 more minerals and starting with some consumables
Foursaken, another possible bug: Blockbots Stiker hero description says "they have special blades that can stun" - I've never seen them stun, is there an animation like a little star flash above their head while stunned? It would be handy to know because if it's a close battle i want to know if i should retreat before i die or if they get stunned I would more likely stay another sec or two to finish them. Is the stun even working?
I love the campaign a lot, but the multiplayer really makes the game come alive for me. But I've got a couple of suggestions that would make multiplayer slightly more engaging: a wider variety of more interesting larger maps ( make your own maps??) with more dynamic terrain, so ranged heroes no longer have such a huge advantage. make 4 player games possible with auto match (At the moment the game starts as soon as one person is found). a play again button (if you find a really evenly matched opponent). an in game leader board some kind of team/clan system? [ I've also come across a couple of bugs: During a couple of games i played the blockboyt "striker" was unhittable with my hero even when not stealthier or cloaked...). Loving the game so far and am looking forward to the updates to come!
After ages of experimenting I finally did it! the set up is not perfect, but something along those lines should do it Note : a row of pulse lasers on the lower level, then lasers, then heavy plasmas (If its unclear) I was also using the blockoids psychic hero and spammed the first ability to damage and slow vast amount of zomblocks.
Multiplayer guide for the average player: Reply 1 of 2 Hey guys, I'm by no means the best in multiplayer but I am globally ranked in the 170's and win about 70% of all my matches so here is some feedback. If anyone wants to add more to the guide just reply here or PM me, I will add it and give credit at the end. ChaosProdigy Multiplayer PVP Guide version 1.0 1. Golden tip: Don't waste time saying hi to your opponent - go capture a power node ASAP. While you are capturing, you may say hi if you want to. 2. Golden Tip: While capturing your first power node you have some precious seconds to do the following: Scroll the map all the way to your opponent and use the pointer icon on their hero. This will tell you allot of information, for example, their race, their hero, their hero HP. You will also have a chance to see if they are trying to rush you by taking one of the more forward nodes and you can react accordingly. 3. The ever important start: While capturing your second node or around that time you will see what sort of units their tier 1 is spawning. Keep an eye out is it ranged or melee and react accordingly with your own tier 1 units. I personally prefer ranged in nearly all situations because they put pressure on their enemy and any blocks they may build defensively. Tier 1 turrets usually blow up any melee units very easily so at least with range you get some hits in. 4. Be aware of a rush strategy! I can't tell you guys how many times my opponent gets surprised I didn't actually take my 1st closest power node - the one close to my base, and instead went to take the 2nd or 3rd (or middle power node) asap. Option a) If I am able to get this middle node, then I can quickly build some steps blocks as defense. To explain further, you put somewhat of a buffer of blocks then build taller blocks in the back and put your turrets on top of the highest inner wall. The enemy ranged units will attack your frontal wall leaving your turrets mostly unharmed. Keep building more blocks if you can afford it so your turrets stay safe. Option B You take the second further power node from your base first, this is also good because then you can decide if you want to try for the middle (if their enemy is melee or slow for example) and while capturing your next power node you can focus on building perfect defense on your second power node. The reason this is an advantage is you have MORE TIME TO BUILD a perfect defense. If you took the 1st power node close to your base, usually you will not build anything there and instead rush 2nd node then build your main defense there. This is sort of the standard norm behavior, and your enemy will likely be doing this. However, if you took 2nd power node first, you can backtrack to take 1st node and have twice the time to build your perfect defense in the 2nd node. Once the action starts as you all know it is allot tougher to build or fix something. 5. The "smart" way to neutralize turrets: If your opponent is building steps and you are a ranged hero for example: you can shoot the block under your opponents turret. That block is much weaker and easier to kill than the turret itself and by lowering its elevation and firing angle you gain a slight advantage. It is also very useful because if their turret gets on same level as their front defense wall, the firing arc gets cut off somewhat allowing your hero and creeps more room with no enemy fire. Keep in mind your turrets will not attack the enemy turrets so you want to focus so your turrets can fire on the enemy. 5b) Let me expand more on some small strategy tips on placement: For example if you are using ranged units, you need to know their range. Some maps your troops can fire on enemy base and are somewhat stuck next to your wall shooting. If you can manipulate the opponents base where you destroy their turrets facing that corner, your troops can do more damage before they get killed. So if you need to prioritize a turret to take down, ALWAYS take down the one that has the best view and range vs. your troops. For example, if enemy has a row of turrets facing your defenses, but your troops are in line of fire on the corner of your defensive base, the best range and line of sight enemy turret is the one closest to the area where your units stop and shoot at enemy base. That is where your troops are most venerable so you need to take that corner turret out if you can. 6. Camping - It is my hope that Foursaken Media changes the healing bonus so there is diminishing returns to players who abuse the power node healing. Right now it is sort of silly when an enemy ranged hero can forever stay alive while doing damage and being healed. 6a)Try your best not to die especially if your hero is level 3+ so it is always a good idea to heal up when low on HP. Once dead your enemy can push in and do massive damage to you, negating tons of minerals and setting you back. That said, keep in mind standing right next to a power block will heal your hero so use that to your advantage (*you can also stand on top of your block). 6b)There is something to be said in keeping all the blocks facing the enemy be only 1 block high, then you can stand on top of your power block as a ranged hero and shoot while being healed. You can put your turret blocks "behind" your power node which will force enemy troops and enemy to move a little closer in range to fire on them. Your hero will essentially "absorb" some of the enemy fire, enemy turret fire and enemy troops fire. Rather than your blocks and troops taking this damage, you can just constantly heal the damage. 6c)You can also attack an enemy hero and bait them into following you back to your base if they think they can kill you, if you can make it to your power node chances are you will not be killed. If you fight them next to or on top of the power node it is very likely you will win against them, and then you can push forward. 6d)Keep in mind that killing their turret with around 400-500 hp is allot faster and easier than taking out their power node which has alot more HP. Taking out the power node if you have time may be smarter if they have allot of turrets there. You have to do some quick thinking here. IF their hero is level 3 or below, you only have a small window of time where you can try to do the most damage possible. You likely don't have enough time to kill a power node in this scenario so focus on turrets. When a enemy hero is down, generally you want to push in and do as much damage as you can, and if possible take a power node so you can push in and build a new forward base. You generally want to prioritize enemy units and dangerous structures over the enemy base unless you feel you can kill the base in this push. 7. Leveling up your hero! Some heroes have much weaker level 1 skills and focus more on their level 2 and 3 skills. In this case you need to play smart in a way where you don't die and you can occasionally kill some of the enemy troops. Killing enemy troops is perhaps the easiest and fastest way to level up, the other way is getting the killing blow on the enemy hero but this is not a reliable way to level up vs. decent opponents especially ones who camp their power node. If you can push ahead of your opponent in hero level this is a great advantage as you are tougher to kill. As you level up it is more and more important you do not allow your hero to die (because the re-spawn time increases the higher your hero level)! Another tip is to kill one of their units quickly, you might take some turret and enemy hero damage but as soon as you kill one run back to heal. This will allow you a steady leveling up experience and hopefully you can out-level enemy hero. 8. If you are using ranged units, try to expand their range as much as you can via equipment items. A little range can be the difference of your units shooting first on his units or turrets, or even shooting at his turrets outside of the range of them so they can safely fire away at them - this is ideal! Some ranged troops have option of AOE ranged items, which are really good against enemy blocks or melee units. 9. Know your enemy! I know everyone may not have everything unlocked, but in Multiplayer screen you are able to look up all the different race heroes and their skills and stats. Hit the "I" icon to get the detailed stats. 10. Self destruction (selling your turrets before they are killed)! If your hero is dead and your base is about to be overrun and you know for sure your base will 100% die, sell your turrets! By getting these minerals back before enemy has a chance to kill them you at least get back some of the minerals so you can help mount another defense. If you have time, keep an eye on your turrets, you can use the pointer icon to click on them and click "Fix" which is often ALOT cheaper than building a new turret. It is also easier to fix if you are low on minerals because you keep your turrets fighting longer without worrying about having enough to build a new replacement one. 11. Power node control: In Multiplayer you get a steady influx of minerals for each power node you control so if at all possible try to defend them all. Usually your power node close to your base is very safe so you can focus more minerals on defending the forward nodes. End of reply 1, post was too long so i had to do it in 2 replies.
Reply 2 of 2 (post was too long for one reply) 12. Elevation: Elevation gives bonuses to turrets, bonuses in range for example and it is harder for enemy ranged units and heroes to shoot at them at range. Elevation also has a benefit to your hero in a similar way. You can fire from your wall and then quickly jump back down behind it before you die. It is like having an extra turret and a smart one at that because you can prioritize targets by clicking on them. 13. Mini-map! Most players don't realize or do not know how to utilize the mini-map. You are able to see where enemy hero is just from a glance and you can see where your and his troops are. I sometimes change the camera view so that it is facing in same direction as the mini-map which offers the best use out of this feature. It helps you strategize. 14. If you don't know for sure you can finish off their enemy hero - do NOT rush their base trying to kill them. You are better off retreating to heal than risking a hero death (especially late game). 15. You want to play a melee focused comp? If you are Zomblocks or other races and trying to focus on melee: If you are facing certain races like for example you are Zomblocks facing Blockbots or Goblocks, you should be aware that you are at a disadvantage in the late game because Blockbots and Goblocks get some AOE options which is the bane of any melee player. In this case you will really try to finish the match as soon as possible and do not allow their hero to get alot of kills on your troops and level up. Easier said than done right? This is where having a perfect defense is more important than ever because as a melee player your ranged options are limited. You want to put your ranged turrets as high as possible. Do not put your turrets next to each other if you know the enemy has some AOE on his troops, try to space them out. As suggested by Foursaken Media: Try to equip your units with armor, movement speed or a gap closer. Zomblocks for example can benefit from their shroud turret. If your opponent is also using melee, you may consider some AOE options, like Zomblocks Blood equipment where on death they explode into an AOE attack. 16. Mirror Match - Do not be afraid to change your troop equipment to help counter his or keep enemy guessing. Try to be smarter than your opponent by focusing on doing max damage at all times: For example you never want to be just standing there, you want to be attacking something or poking something, and always run to base to heal well before you die. If you can micromanage and be more active than your opponent this will help you pull ahead. 17* You can send a custom message by pressing the message box and rather than pressing the pre-typed messages, click on one of the first options "input message" which allows you to send a custom message to your opponent. 17. Siege Breaker/Stalemate: Ever face a good opponent and you guys seem evenly matched? Your massive defense structure is facing his massive defense structure. There is a few things you can do to try gaining an advantage. You can walk off to the side of the map and try to walk towards his base. (not too far) - see if they bite. If they bit, that means they will go and try to kill you and you can try a mano a mano battle off screen away from turrets and troop interference. Hopefully you win as this is a pretty desperate measure. If your opponent does not bite, then you can try to flank his defenses and kill some of his troops unobstructed. Keep an eye on your base and replenish defensive blocks as best you can. By farming some exp you may pull ahead enough to turn the tides. If your hero has stealth, and at this stage you are already decently powerful, you can try cloaking and going directly for their base. You might have to cloak to run away but you will also pull off the enemy hero away from the front lines. If this is the case, your own units may have a chance to push in and gain a slight advantage. The enemy base cannot heal itself so a few well timed stealth attacks may just finish it off and win you the game. If all else fails and you guys will laugh, but try taunting your opponent through messages, a simple message you can type is "Want to fight off screen 1 on 1 and see who wins?" Or you can say "This game is getting pretty long, what say you we each destroy 1 turret and fight more with our heroes and troops?" Not saying this will always work, but if you have another intelligent adult as a opponent they are themselves thinking, ok this is a long game, how do we conclude that? By offering the suggestion, they are more likely to accept. 18. ARRGH!!! The enemy hero or units keep knocking me back, stunning me, silencing me etc. OR constantly SLOWING ME FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MAP, looking at you Blockoids Psychic It is my hope that Foursaken Media changes CC so there is diminishing returns because right now it is sort of silly to be knocked around constantly, silenced back to back etc. I understand some hero classes are weaker and this is a tradeoff, but I also do not believe any game where CC can be a constant thing is a enjoyable feature. I am not sure how this will be balanced but for now your only option is using terrain for example your own defenses, trees and environment to your favor. Some races also have blocks that help against stun or give you higher move speed allowing you to hopefully get to them before they bounce you back again. More to come at a future date. Enjoy guys End of reply 2 of 2
Another question for Foursaken: How are we supposed to get another hero for the same race? It seems like they're too expensive for what they're worth and that my rare minerals would be better spent on new equipment. Is there another way to unlock these heroes or are you supposed to just grind for them?
U get 1000 minerals for completing any world 100%. Also later missions give 300+ per win. Technically u could repeat some higher missions and get 300 minerals per 7 minutes of your time. PvP also gives minerals. Doesn't seem too bad to me and remember game has only been out a few days. In a few weeks of casual play u can unlock everything.
