Thanks for all the bug reports, guys - we're looking into this stuff right now! EDIT: For those of you experiencing the spawning problems - are you all using orbital lasers?
I am. Also I am using a lot more than just 10 these days. One more thing, when they dribble they dribble in at all 4 corner locations. At random I think.
Foursaken_Tom... Have you guys considered competitive/versus mode for this game? I was just wondering... I think it would be a hoot, but you guys have not discussed it publicly much, if at all. Just wondering about ya'lls thoughts on it.. Also, can we expect any other content besides coop in the future of the game? Again, just a wondering question... Thanks for the game.. still love experimenting with different builds!
Yeah, 10 orbital lasers here. I've seen the creeps go flying after an OL strike, and a bit later they fall into the corners.
I've thought about this a lot as well. I think some kind of asynchronous versus mode would work really well. Make it wave based like Quickplay, where you build your fortress and earn gold/minerals little by little every round. You would use your gold and minerals not just to modify your base each round, but also to buy the different creeps you want to send to the opponent's base. I can see a lot of strategy going into this, as when in FPS mode you would have to choose whether to defend your base from the oncoming hoard, or run to their base and start taking out their mines and stuff. Making it asynchronous would be great because it'd be WAY easier to find games. Just my two cents!
I don't think the spawn bug is fixed as yet guys... Anyways, take a look at my base, the level, gold and m! D
Oh yeah, my base is hidden inside the mountains, drills and mines buried deep below... Maybe a block or two is taken out from time to time, but with the majority of my weapons being howitzers, the lasererers and shooters have no chance! D
I think a cool versus mode would be like a FPS deathmatch. No enemies, just you and the other players. You could choose to hunt down your foes, or try building a little base to better defend yourself. Just a thought.

If I upload a sandbox game, will the self-powered mods work for other people? Or will they have no power? Cooler King Well-Known Member Mar 11, 2013 59 0 0 #1434 Cooler King, May 19, 2013 Uploading a map only copies the type, number, and orientation of the blocks and terrain on the map. Mods are not copied, so in your example anyone who downloads your map would have to either place power blocks or have self powered mods on everything. Davidaw Member Mar 29, 2013 16 0 0 #1435 Davidaw, May 19, 2013 It took a few attempts to generate the right terrain, but basically kept generating the map until one with a small central valley was generated... Then positioned my base at the bottom of it and went from there... D dwerny Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 112 0 0 #1436 dwerny, May 20, 2013 I agree with some of the other commenters regarding the newest update: I'm having some weird spawning which appears to make the level significantly easier. The enemies come one at a time, mostly toward the end of the round. The map I was aging on did have several orbital lasers (maybe 8-10). One of my other maps did not seem to have this problem. That one has zero orbitals. I also noticed my bot having a hard time with coins in the water. It does seem to get stuck. I think the game seems to runs smoother as well. Seemed to have less drop in the frame rate when things got busy. I also really like the bots. Great idea. Thanks FM! dwerny Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 112 0 0 #1437 dwerny, May 20, 2013 Wow and the patch is released just like that. Thanks! That's hilarious that the orbital lasers were shooting the gobs miles into space. Pandapistolero Member Apr 21, 2013 18 0 0 #1438 Pandapistolero, May 20, 2013 Coop new patch Dear foursaken media I have noticed that coop has been implemented in the new patch even though it was not supposed to. I managed to play it with some other guy through game centre, but it was very buggy. I know this will be fixed with the new patch as coop was not meant to be relaesed this patch. The thing that worries me is that i am not sure what is bugs and not Bug(?) list: -third person mode(might be something one can switch to in the future. -regularly being forced to use the plasma rifle, even though all slots ar full. -ulimited resources (at least i hope it is just a bug) -Exstreme lag -floating goblocks aiming at the sky -wierd looking soldiers (I know it is probably not a glitch, but come on, they are even weirder than the goblocks, and they are green monsters!) I hope some of these issues will be fixed with the next patch, but most of all i hope all gamemodes will be playable not just some mix of sandbox and survival. Make it so it is one host who places the barracks and so the two players (thats the cap on the current version) would have seperate resources, but would end up with the same amount of rare minerals when the round is over, if not it would become competetive multiplayer! Trying to get an update expedited to lock it back up. sigh... Pandapistolero Member Apr 21, 2013 18 0 0 #1440 Pandapistolero, May 20, 2013 Exellent! No need to hurry though, third person mode is fun to try out as well. I have noticed a bug where one stops shooting when steppong down from a block, i don't know if this happens to everyone and if it does, this has probably allready been noticed. I don't think the gun just stops shooting as the minigun's barrel keeps on spinning but stops firing. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
