They have their own category. Well I mean 4 bucks isn't a bad price. I mean it's something worth supporting.
Y'know, for ios games, 4 bucks is a lot. I mean, we're playing these games on touchscreens. Oh well, I don't see why we can't unlock the bots with experience or minerals. But then again they don't seem that useful and can't be targeted by enemies, so let them collect coins for you.
So you get one bot to start; the rest are IAP, .99 for one or $4 for all current (8 or so) and all future. I'm assuming you can only use one at a time, but haven't checked it out. They're pretty fun. The jetpack is awesome. Maybe even super-awesome. Thanks for the update, Foursaken. Always killin' it.
I disagree. There is a cost involved with continued game development. Devs do continue to make revenue from new purchases of the game but its really unfair for consumers to think the devs should continue to add content for free to existing owners. When BF was released I was happy to buy the XP doubler but I bought no minerals. I actually have fun grinding those out so I saw no benefit in buying them (instead I purchased Bug Heroes Gold and Bug Heroes Quest with all IAP to give Foursaken more support). There was free content included with this update as well. If Foursaken is dedicated to pushing out all this new content on a semi-monthly basis then I'm more than happy to fork over $5-$10 a month. I mean if you don't want to support a small but awesome dev thats fine. But don't get on here and start complaining when all we have left are devs like Gameloft and Zynga who are purely in it for their shareholders.
Great update, all the new features are a lot of fun so far. The new jetpack works like the enemies with the boosted jump. Possible bug report though. After the update I've noticed that weapons that should stun enemies like the cryo gun sometimes freeze the enemies animations, but they continue to move while stuned.
Is there tips thread? I keep getting my ass kicked in Survival by wave 8-9. Accumulating minerals is difficult. Only once did I reach wave 13, with a level 3 bunker and lasers, etc. Every other time I've struggled to maintain good defenses while upgrading my bunker to unlock the good stuff. How do people build those amazing bases in the pictures? Is that only possible in Sandbox and Quickstart? Cause every time my Survival base only becomes a small rectangle of mesh and a few turrets, lights, and spot lights. --- Also possible bug: when I started playing, the equipment bar when you're on the ground was shifted over to the right rather than being in the center. Not sure if this is a bug or just something changed in the update
FOURS4KEN: Thank You. You deserve 5 Star ratings because your releases show how much you support true iOS gaming. You have completely exceeded my expectations. Thanks for your update support.
At first I felt mad about the pay bots, but that's not unusual with IOS games. I had to give it a thought instead of insta IAP rage. It's actualy a great idea, you do get a bot that does the basics, and any other bot has a special ability, like mele, or repair. The buy all is a few dollars off from buying each individually. It's a way to support the company, and the games quality is pretty top notch. (No pun intended) Now only if I could spend US iTunes cards on the Canadian App Store.
First of all, have you ever owned a console? You'd know the gaming experience on consoles is unparalleled to touchscreens. From my experience, you have to own several games on your device to make it a decent gaming system. Oh wait, now the $1 you paid is now turning into $5? What if it were for all your games? I only spoke what first came to my mind. One console game beats 50 paid touchscreen games by far. If you had good titles such as fifa and gta you'd know. I don't support the terrible freemium models? Nobody does. Everybody wants a full game up front for their money, not finding out they have to pay 4x more than the price of the game to unlock some content. Why don't you explain further how people like me drove rr3 to freemium? I occasionally buy games from the App Store normally, including some great ea titles. In fact it has nothing to do with me. Developers can see the mobile market willing to pay for iaps and the freemium models do generate more cash. People like me? What? I'm just a normal person, and is it not my choice whether I want to purchase iaps or not?
I want to be very clear we have every intention of releasing free bots along the way... in fact it might be very likely that the next update has another free bot coming. Also, if I am honest, I do feel like the $.99 - $1.99 price tag + $3.99 for the bots is still a fair price for the game But I'm bias ALSO, co-op is coming next - making some nice progress
