Yep, we're watching and are aware of all issues people have posted about! No rest for us We're working on Heroes and Castles mega update, Block Fortress updates, AND our next game It sounds like we're overloading ourselves, but tbh, we're just having a blast making games that people like to play! Yeah, speaking of which its live! Fixes a lot of key things, like crashes, the "x enemies left that you can't kill" bug, much smooth aiming controls, and much more... make sure to grab it now!
Thanks for the congrats, guys! We're all on cloud nine over here... And, yep, we're still all over this thread ;-) It's the best place to get good player insight... The shadow exploit is being fixed in 1.1... We're also exploring some options to allow turrets to handle shadows (but in a very limited capacity). Not sure where we'll end up with that, though... As for adding NPCs and a lot of the other suggestions, believe me when I say we're noting almost everything. This is still a bit preliminary, but we're definitely looking into troop building in the non-FPS mode (probably 1.2). Like some of you mentioned, we also think it could add an awesome dimension in that mode to deploy your own troops (ala Kindom Rush, but with a little more options/tactics/strategy). So, hang tight for that... We're also looking to add new equipment (and not just weapons), more block types, and more character customization. As for 1.1, we're hoping to submit it by the end of the week... So, yeah, keep the suggestions/comments coming! We're all ears!
Could you guys give us an idea about what new game you guys are working on? How about also an update on multiplayer for block fortress? What sort of direction are you headed for that?
Great game guys and thanks for the update! iCloud save transferring doesn't seem to be working properly for me though. I can upload the save from my ipad and see the save on my iPhone but when I load the save on the phone nothing changes. Any thoughts?
I didn't think the iCloud update was going to support transferring saves. I'm pretty sure it only transfers character level, mods, and rare resources.
I believe your right about it not supporting level saves. My problem is that no info actually transfers even though it acts like it loaded the iCloud save.
Only level, mods and resources transfer. That said, you must make sure your settings, icloud, documents and data is turned on. Then, do not try to save on icloud and immediately go load on alt device. Give it some time, make sure both devices have the same game vetsion and restart both devices first. Being on WiFi helps. Hope that helps.
After this update i have been experiencing a lot less lag than usual. One thing that might be helpful is reducing the graphics of the plasma rifle when shooting because it tends to make my game lag when i shoot.
Love this game, think it's awesome although I have no shame in admitting that I have the perfect set up for farming and will hammer the shadowexploit for minerals before updating
There's 2 glitches with the new patch in Survival. Almost every other round the match ends, but I still have my gun in hand, and it would take about 30 seconds before I regain control and be able to fly through the map. The other glitch is the total opposite. The match ends too early. I still have enemies on the screen. ... at this very moment my gun is taken away from me and a swarm of shadows are hacking away at my base... and the only thing I could do is go onto the next round, so I can pull out my gun again. This has happened twice.
I will just be playing the game on my iPad, but I tried transferring the data to the iPhone out of curiosity and the iCloud saves are working fine for me. For those who have yet to try it, within the game you go to Options / Data / iCloud / then Save Character or Load Character.
This game is freakin awesome! I totally recommend this game to anyone who likes to build bases and defend them themselves! One thing that could be tweaked is that you should be able to start your base in water. Anyways great game! Supa approved!
Screenshot of my base in the (formerly) green Hills lvl 40 (No shadow exploit). I implemented many of the excellent ideas found here - lights as decoys for shadows, I'm still upgrading their HP. - wood/paint block maze in a chessboard pattern. I made concentric circles around the base. Great to slow the big dudes, good decoy too I lose between 10 and 40 blocks per run, almost only cheap ones. I began with lasers, added MIRV and then heavy plasma. Adding Howitzers now that I had overlooked. Since I don't have any more mines/drills everywhere to look after, I find the game more easy. with modded Heavy plasma weapons, shadows groups disappear quickly, leaving only a few to deal with the plasma rifle. Modded spotter is a must have once there are a lot of shadows. My turrets take care of most of the other ennemies. But I usually don't take the risk of runnning to get the coins. Defensewise, i've put a sarcophagus of paint blocks around the barracks (2 or 3 wide) and added armor to them. Same over my mines and drills that now are next to them. I wish I had cleared the terrain under my base early. I did it in levels 20+, and it was a mess! I made a good bunch of minerals in quick start games using shadow exploit. Unfortunately, high scores too! Made a lot of upgrades on the stuff I use: mines/drills, laser, howitzer, heavy plasma, mirv. And modded also plasma pistol, rifle and heavy plasma as well as stimpack and spotter. I'll wait for the 1.1 update for going through the other survival maps. VoilĂ , thks y'all for the good tips!
