    Can't mine under a base or a mine that terrain is indestructable.

    No friendly fire for weapons or turrets.

    Okay then, its unlikely that people would resort to google's cache in the first place, my post can also be edited.
    The method can easily farm 700+ minerals while you sleep and work without any attention on your device, which in my view is not actually a bad thing as I said, it doesn't affect us and would certainly help the community to their mods much quicker so we can discuss more advanced strategies. That being said it also doesn't seem to affect the rankings of game centre.
    Removing it can't hurt.

    I just figured out a way to stop shadows from destroying my guns.

    1. Start at top center of your barracks. Build 7 blocks going upwards.

    2. At the seventh block at the top build 5 blocks going outwards on each of the 4 sides. It should look like a plus sign from above.

    3. Count 4 blocks outwards from the center block. Build your laser or howitzer here underneath that block, so it is upside down. It should look like. [Block][Block][Gun][Block][Block][Center Block] Do this at all 4 branches.

    4. Now increase the width of the branch by 2 blocks on each side, so each branch should now be 5 blocks wide with the turret at the bottom center.

    5. That's the basic concept. Shadows will try to climb up the center stem, but they can never reach your gun turrets. They will continue to drop down and try to climb up again. I had 3 squads of shadows fail at taking out a single turret. The reason for this is that Shadows never and I mean NEVER targets your wall blocks when there is something more useful out on the map and goes straight for guns or special equipments.

    The reason there should be 2 blocks separating the turret, is because I tested with 1 and somehow the shadows were still able to latch onto the block and whack away at my turrets. When I tried 2, they never could reach it without falling off. To increase your turret numbers. Add them right next to the turret already there and add an additional layer of blocks to the side you added the turret to.

    ^ you should probably delete that post. Its a bug/exploit that allows you to infinitely afk farm resources in quick play.

    Using the above method, how do you stop the barracks getting destroyed?

    Um... you just surround your barracks with blocks? I skipped that part and went straight to the point. Defending the base is up to you. I have my base defended by 3 layers of blocks to each side. I must be either asleep or drunk to not notice the enemy attack on my barracks with that much defense.

    ... besides I've got lasers raining down from the heavens on anyone who decides to knock on its door.

    If your player is level 50 or above, the heavy plasma (the gun you carry, not the turret of the same name) is awesome for dealing with shadows. If you catch them clustered in a group, you can take them all out with a single shot. I have one damage mod on the hp, and I'm on wave 27 or so. You can even fire it at your own tower, doesn't seem to damage it (I realised there is no friendly fire in terms of your turrets hitting you, but it also seems that you can't hit your turrets/ other defences, at least not with the heavy plasma gun, is that right?)

    One question for users of the heavy plasma gun: initially rate of fire is 20 seconds, and reload is 20 seconds. I guess I could just time this with the in-game clock, but somehow in the heat of battle never did: are these two times cumulative or overlapping? You can cut the rate of fire time with mods, but can't do anything about reload times (or capacity). If they overlap, then I'm wasting my time/rare minerals modding down the rate of fire. If they're cumulative tho, there is a benefit to reducing the rate of fire. Anyone bothered timing the gun before and after a mod??

    The plasma rifle is better.

    Power source mod means you never need to reload and your ammo never runs out.

    ROF Mod + 5 will make the gun shoot 10 rounds per a second.

    I also have Area of Effect mod +6 on this gun, which helps taking out large crowds.

    I have damage +3, which makes my gun deal up to 35 damage per a shot.

    That's 350 damage every second with no reload time and the same splash damage as a rocket explosion.

    No doubt the plasma rifle is good... but it is in no way better for dealing with shadow mobs (the only thing that actually requires you to shoot at)>.>. I would rather 1 shot the whole bunch of them with my heavy plasma..it still works at wave 60+ with a fully upgraded heavy plasma(1800-2100 dmg). I still switch to my plasma rifle to pick off stragglers though.

    That's good to know. I was going to ask whether it still worked at higher waves, thanks. Did you mod down the firing rate, or is there no point?

    55 minutes on Quickstart mode! Just five minutes to achievement! And everything is going retardedly well! :D

    Edit: By retardedly well I mean that I am surfing the web on my iPhone whilst those mobs get obliterated by my Lasers and Orbital Lasers on my iPad. :D

    I reported a clearly hacked score on gamecenter a few days ago only 3-4 days after the game came out. I know it was hacked because you could do the simple math even if said person had bought every IAP and upgraded everything it would still mathematically be an impossible score.

    Apple obviously has left it there on game center but the problem is because they haven't removed it there is another one that has popped up out of no where. Popping up out of no where on quick match makes sence as its play once and done but NOT survival and certainly not a completely outrageous number of waves completed. At least not for another few weeks that is.

    So on the mountain level I now have two scores above me with millions of mathematically impossible waves completed, unless they found out a serious glitch which I doubt with certainty that one would work that much in their favour.

    My score is still 61 waves on that mountain survival map but I could go further no problem as the base is set up decent and could keep that rank for a good week or two before having to restart the type and restructure the base again, but my problem is not being sour that any one could get a better score...

    It's HOW they get their better score, and that's what my problem is. :mad:

    Trust me, if those scores were legit I would have noticed them climbing up the rankings on survival, I keep an extremely close eye on rocky-mountains survival for the time when I will have to push the waves further.

    Competition is good, hacked scores are not (unless you could arguably say it is ok if it stays on their own device fine enough, but the point is those scores are being pushed into a public domain and that's where it becomes a problem)

    I might of course be wrong and they just are lazy or something, but there are tens of thousands of games in the App Store, it will inevitably take ages to crack down on every single hacked score that is reported.

    But the ones in this game are especially annoying, that must be said...

    Edit: And thats 1 hour clocked in Quick Start! Achievement unlocked! :D
