I've played three maps, about 4 waves each before I die. I've tried 'crafting' but all the decent stuff requires some serious rare ores, including many silver ores, not a single one of which I've uncovered thus far, making this a rather tedious grind so far. I'd enjoy it a hell of a lot more if I didn't think that those incredibly rare but needed-in-bulk rare ores weren't best accumulated through IAPs...
Someone said "move your mines near your base" but.. Eh? How do you move the ore the mine is built on?
Best gun in the game: Plasma Rifle If you are going to upgrade any of the guns in the game, make sure it is that one. Get Power Source first and than all 5 rate of fire upgrades. You are welcome.
@ Mr Ed 209: I made that mistake when I started playing, specific maps give out specific ore, including silver. I've been playing this a lot and haven't bought any IAP, I'm only at wave 20 so it a bit slow going, but IAP is not needed to succeed
@mrEd: it isn't moving the mines themselves, just choosing to use the mines closest to your base. One strategy is to craft the salvage mod on your mines and then move move them around each wave depending on where the enemies are coming from.
As noted, they tell you up front what ores the maps produce, so play on the maps for which you need the ore. In your case, if it's the white ore, play on Rocky Mountain or Snowy Hills. Or do what I do, play three colors of maps at the same time Now, also to be honest, what they've done is set up this game such that for "$4.99", you get the base game, experience doubler, and just enough minerals to get to the point you can easily generate them yourself through gameplay (i.e. self power and salvage on mine shafts so you can move them around at will to efficiently gather rare minerals), and I approve. $2 is far too cheap to have given all that up front. People too cheap to spring a few more dollars their way deserve some early grinding in my opinion.
Is the developer planning to add iCloud saves to the game? I was playing on my iphone but when I switched to my iPad the saves hadn't carried over.
Ok guys, IAP is not needed to enjoy the game, you just progress faster with it. Buying IAP early game is pointless really since you don't have anything good unlocked yet. The only really useful boost is EXP doubler. On another note, leveled the whole map in 10 minutes
Congrats on another amazing game Foursaken Media! This game is above and beyond what I was expecting from another Minecraft type game. And to the people fighting about IAPs, some people don't like to pay IAP, some people are fine with it. Just chill out, you've got different views on it. No reason to start an argument.
Just reached level 60 for the Tidal Cliffs map without any IAPs. It is pretty fun and rewarding to farm minerals to improve your turrets/weapons.
I totally agree. It's not hard to get 50 of each rare mineral within 30 minutes to an hour of time depending on how many coins you grab. Just play waves 1-5 until you at least have self powered and salvageable shafts drills and plasma turrets. It really fun to watch how your base improves with each upgrade. Edit: also remember that each shaft and drill has a percentage chance per wave to generate and additional rare mineral so the more you have out the more you will get.
Yep, just that it takes a while before you build up some decent turret upgrades, but the game's mechanics are wonderful and there is so much potential too..
ChaosProdigy, can you remove the picture from an earlier post? Based on the picture it's not too hard to figure out.. Oh well, it doesn't matter/affect us if other individuals also benefit from the bug..
Removing pictures from far back on a forum won't make a massive difference as search engines such as Google will have already cached them, once that happens there's only so much that can be done.
Hell yeah! I'm currently in a my longest running game, I'm on round 30 with 10 Orbital Lasers and lotsa lasers. LOVE THIS GAME.
What kind of mods and how many of each do you put on your lasers? I'm trying to figure out what to put on my regular laser. I've already put 3x damage, but it doesn't really seem to do much. My damage went from 1 to 1.7 or something like that. Not much of a difference...
I have the Detection Mod, Power Source Mod, and a damage mod on both my lasers and on my orbital lasers.
A few questions: 1. Can I make a floating base? (seems that the barracks get grafted onto the ground and can't be mined under) 2. Is there friendly fire; ie can my towers hit me, can my base blow itself up from the inside if I don't position my towers right, can my towers hit each other? (especially the ones with big splash damage)
