Well I lost interest fast too but it wasnt because of controls. I dont mind helping out Foursaken I knew it really wasnt my kind of game.
Wave 11 today! Practice does make perfect I started early with mortars on top of my barracks and that made a huge difference against the ranged goblocks. Also carrying twop guns helped a ton. I struggled in the end with resources and tried to expand to a third base... Ran out of M and could not defend with just machine guns. Controls are great, I love FPSes on IOS and that includes this one. I wonder about a 3rd person view option, like H&C? You can't approach it like a modern warfare or a game you need to conserve ammo... You hold down that fire button and keep on Anyways, awesome game, thanks!
Hey, Devs Would it be possible to consider "ADS" (aiming down sight) for certain guns (pistol, shotgun, rifle) but not all of them (chain gun, rockets, etc.)? ....Maybe just tap the gun to switch views? You could make it to where their is an accuracy difference between aiming and not aiming....I feel like this would go a LONG way in adding to the fun, challenge and depth of the FPS gameplay. My only other request would be to make the screen real estate bigger on the iPad for moving (auto) in the left corner? I find myself looking instead of moving too often because my thumb is above the "move" area in the bottom left corner........ Also, I know someone mentioned an auto-fire option for when your crosshairs are "red" when pointing at an enemy....which I think would be great! I also feel that the "hammer" (build) button in FPS mode is way too close to the fire button and tends to get in the way when I'm trying to swipe and aim with my right thumb Anyway, like I've already stated...great job and hats off to the 4 brothers at Foursaken for such a great game and thanks for the unique and fun experience. Hopefully your hard work will continue to pay off and allow for plenty of support with this awesome game moving forward!
I'm having the same issue with movement on the iPad. I often find myself looking up and down rather than moving forward or backwards because the area for movement doesn't reach high enough up the left side of the screen.
I can't control Minecraft pocket to save my life. I think this game is a bit easier. It still isn't the best, I don't think these types will ever get it perfect on the touchscreen. I try to build bases that I can stay up high on and look down so I don't have to move all that much to help out and shoot. Get down on enemy level, movement gets hectic for me (I get all nervous and scramble back to my base) I am enjoying it though! SO many add ons and cool things to justify the $2 ALSO, I feel minecraft pocket was just thrown together to make some money. this game is made for iOS. The developers are going to be much more active trying to tweak the controls and make them better vs. the minecraft guys. My guess is the minecraft iOS guys probably don't stress too much if the controls are good or not.
Just saw that block fortress is number 3 on the paid apps. CONGRATS. There's no other dev that deserves this more then you guys.
I just bought a 60-pack of rare minerals, what should I mod? Which mods should I get for my plasma rifle?
For plasma rifle, get the no reloading mod, and the night sight mod. Later you can increase the power if you want. Rate of fire is fast, and distance is large, so I dont think those mods are useful.
-- Love song mashups; and now loving iOS game genre mashups -- Love TD games; but suck at FPS games. -- Love the idea of Minecraft; but my speed is more Eden-World Builder Thus, I am enjoying this game mostly by going into sandbox mode, building whatever I can think of, and then going into attack mode and sitting back to watch the action, similar to Gratuitous Space Battles. Thanks, devs! (Feel free to add my vote to a version which is more tower/base defense and no FPS...)
Since you have some extra minerals, I recommend you add to your turrets: Night site The no power needed thingy Those two things alone, on laser, mirv, or whatever u like, just makes the game much more enjoyable. Less energy things to worry about, and the night isnt so scary.
On the survival rocky mountains, I was first place on game center with 32 rounds so far without any IAP There are people on other boards that popped up to first place out of no where but I guess they purchased lots of resources so that's how it goes and I'm not going to be sour about that (actually in this this case I feel the devs more than deserve a whole truckload of IAP, this game is worth above and BEYOND its asking price easily) but I will be sour about one thing... And that is on said rocky mountain map; The person above me on rank one has done a grand total of 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 rounds complete. Now I have been playing almost 24 hours a day since this game came out hardcore style so I know for a fact that number is completely impossible to obtain even with the highest IAP purchase bundle. There are just not enough hours in the day to get that many missions completed, unless one has a T.A.R.D.I.S and can travel through time and space. It is rather annoying to be honest. Why do people do that, where's the fun in it? It sours the experience because it makes the game impossible to be competitive with that humongous number. also by the way this is very good advice, I'd agree with it being a good idea It really helps you to get more waves completed, wasting less precious resources on power cores lets you build more advanced guns and generally hold out longer. I don't think you will, unless you connect to a computer and backup your save data, I'm fairly sure there is no provided memory save and certain that it doesn't use iCloud yet, could be wrong though. Your best not deleting the save until the dev responds otherwise it could be a sad time.
I bought the exp doubler and the 5$ pack and upgraded the crap out of lasers. Now I feel like I'm cheating when I play lol. They are so good. Oh we'll would've happened eventually I just sped up the process while supporting a awesome dev.
