I'm not sure about the combination of TD and FPS, but based on the videos, it looks like a cool game. But the icon makes it looks like a cheap game though. But that's just my opinion. Do you actually have time to explore and/or mine/dig?
It's more like DTB and FPS to me. In the actual battle-phase, not really. In build-mode, explore to your hearts content. The monsters actually move quickly enough so that you're constantly harassed if you stay still for more then 1 second.
Ugh I wanna support the developer (he's already got like $30 from me from HnC) but I don't want to ruin the progression feeling of the game by buying a whole bunch of minerals and losing that satisfying feeling of earning stuff and becoming stronger. Anyone who's bought minerals, what was a good number to buy?
We really appreciate it, but don't feel the need at all - just buying the game and being a fan is more than enough!
You can always gift copies of the game to friends. That's what I usually do, it supports the game without ruining its pacing for you. It's a fantastic game btw. Great job developer!
Whoa, cool game! It gets pretty hard to begin with, and the controls are a bit klunky, but other than that, its a great idea and I hope you expand on this game a bunch - it has so much potential!
how come everyone seems to build their bases up to the sky when the bad guys just go thru the ground level. Wouldn't it make more sense to build out, and make the bad guys go through more walls? I build up, but the bad guys still get to my barracks.
iPhone 4 performance? And this game or Penumbear? So I had asked about this game's performance on iPhone 4. Someone replies on this thread saying it's really laggy However in the TA Plays comments, someone else said that he encountered little to no lag on a 4 device So can anyone else answer how this game plays on iPhone 4? I'm trying to decide between this and Penumbear so that's why I'm asking
On our 4 devices, we consistently get 30 fps for most of the game. There's a little bit of slowdown if an explosion happens right in your face, but it generally runs pretty darn well. I'm not sure why it was laggy for that one guy... maybe he didn't do a full phone restart (which sometimes fixes these kinds of things).
ah, i have a confession. I did not pay a buck for HC. I got that game from some lottery. That is one of the best game on iphone. It is a shame that HC is not on Top 10 list.
Made it to wave 35 before the base finally caved in. Still in pursuit of that epic 60 wave achivement but over half way now! Just a few more upgrades and a little concept change here or there and it should be obtainable within the week or two! In the end, it was the presence of water that finished it... The entire terrain got destroyed and my mountains turned to dust. Does any one who has been this far yet have ideas on improvements? It was pretty strong, I think the only way to avoid this is mining down deep to the unexplodable rock in the first few waves, maybe destroy the whole area around the barracks with plasma rifle and then build up with walls, so the land doesn't eventually blow up underneath. Other than tweaks, doing some majour crafting upgrades and saving before every little mistake (the small ones seriously add up when you get this far, even Deleting the wrong building at the wrong time without upgrades to get 100% minerals back can create long term difficulties). All the resources were exhausted, by this far I had nothing left that could be mined. There was a large mountain here, just rock now Here is what happened, the water on the map just crept in on the base because of all the nukes and aoe plasma, rockets and satellites combined and it fed through to eventually do this under my fortifications...
