Love this game. Can't stop playing. Very polished MINUS the controls. Something about the aiming and firing just feels off and difficult. Keep up the awesome work guys
Soo.... I've devised a fair strategy for resource farming, granted you must be able to fight and defeat most threats without your turrets. In early stages (1-3 or 4) Get both the self power and the salvage mod on both the mineshaft and mining drill. Place shafts about as needed ( generally out of the direction of your base whenever possible) sell and replace each round. As for drills stack on one location ( up to three, for ease of defense, and place out of path of mobs, relocate as needed.) AoE weapons seem to handle the best when combined with slow, an easy td tactic, but be weary of long reload times or in BF's case, destroy able terrain which alters patching somewhat. Edit: any other ideas or comments on this strategy?
Smartest app designers ever. Give us a few more control options, plz. Top 25 really soon. Has a lot of potential and isn't something you'll get bored of after a while. Good thinking, combine boring TD with boring block building. Yes! Better than Nutella. XD
Can't you put two blocks behind it and then whatever you wanted on top of the generator on the side of those?
This probably wouldn't be classified as a bug, maybe just an oversight/typo. When upgrading blocks that are not turrets, the description of the mod refers to the block as a turret. For example, the mine shaft repair mod says, "slowly repairs this turret over time whenever damaged." Just FYI if you guys haven't noticed or even care. It's not that big of a deal I guess.
Doesn't help when I'm building straight up, cause the two additional blocks mess up my scheme, which currently is holding against everything cept the ninjas of course. Oh and night time stinks cause I have to camp my flare launcher
Here's some screens to show how I like to start off the earlier game, the layer in front allows the tower arc to get the enemies. Random Tips: - Use wood early on instead of of concrete for cheap cost ($1). - Plasma pistol/Assault Rifle is pretty good to use until you unlock the plasma rifle. - Make sure to spam mines if you have lots of cash as they only cost $5. - Pay attention to the red compass at the top which tells you where the enemy will spawn so you know which side to prioritise towers as well as placing a mine shaft opposite side they come so you know it's safe that round. - Waves 5 & 11 are at night so make sure to get some lights down each side and you want Laser upgraded with detection otherwise wave 11 is a huge pain. - I like to sometimes place cheap blocks slightly away from the base in random spots to act as a distraction for the enemy. - Key mods to get would be the mine shaft one for no power requirement, plasma tower damage & range, laser detection then focus on weapon upgrades. - When picking a starting postion look for a decent spot near minerals that you can wall off or have the base nearby to easily protect them.
Foursaken It would be helpfull when placing a turret or a power block to see it's range befor it is placed. And if the gold coins could stay a little longer Love the game I only made it to wave 16 so far but i get always better and crafting is so motivating!
Omg I just watched ign play this game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PXPRKXNRcY&sns=em What a bunch of noobs They didn't even know you can move while building and choosing your base, This is totally not a cool advert for the game.
Was just about to post that link! http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/03/07/lets-play-block-fortress-episode-1-minecraft-meets-tower-defense
This just happened to me for the first time on wave 3 of my fourth game. Edit: Bug where it says 1 enemy remaining even though I can't find said enemy anywhere.
Night comes after a certain amount of time regardless of what round you are on. When you are in building mode you can just wait it out before starting the next round.
