Because this thread in the TA forum was essential to BlastBall MAX succes in the first week, we want to celebrate our game making Apple's 'Best New Games' list by handing out ten more Promo codes. HNE946YAENN3 PW7TJLRH49XN 6AKP3HTTR799 P7EXYWE4W467 FPPMAFKFAPFP KP96R4XTFTFT YEJR9F3R4NMT 99RJAE3L4LRE W3M9AR66Y3PK 3EXL497TFEPK Oh, and be a gentleman. Post which code you took. So others know. Enjoy!
You can't. People who download using a promo code are not allowed to leave reviews. Tell your friends if you like it. I'd be more than happy with that.
I played my first game with Blastball MAX and I am very impressed! The game is simple to understand but has plenty of depth to it. The tutorial is excellent as are the production values. I am really excited to play more.
Well, here's 200.000 as "the first thing to do in the morning", I literally did it before I got out of bed, maybe that's the way to do it have a nice day y'all.
Thanks for the kind words. It was a long process of trying stuff, and throwing out everything which was not essential to the goal we set ourself (an intelligent one player abstract puzzle-game). It was a long 3 years and a massive investment. So reading stuff like this takes a big weight off my shoulders Wow. 200k after one week. Too bad we can't track 'Games Played' data with Game Center. It's possible that you've played quite a bit of BlastBall MAX Actually, since you start playing it BEFORE you get out of bed, I'm actually pretty sure you did
Actually, it's not that hard to find out. There's this "Blast Freak" achievement on the Game Center for playing 100 games. My progress is 46% which means I played 46 games. Btw, I shared my "One down on the bucket list" achievement accomplishment on Twitter. I figured out there's this icon next to each achievement to define the difficulty level. And since this is the first one with most valuable crown next to it I wanted to savour the moment. I assume there's not a lot of them there
I wouldn't say "nothing", but if you'd ask me yesterday I could've sworn it's not possible. But I guess it's like that all the time. And if nothing else there's always truth in "it's better to sleep on it", right? It worked in this case I assume Btw, did you make it through that goal required less than 14 balls in play at one time? Because Tier 22, goal 66 is the same one, only difference is you need to have less than 10 balls! And I can be pretty confident to claim right now that it's impossible to do. But yeah, maybe tomorrow morning?... Until than I'm just stuck.
Holy F man. We didn't name this one "One Down on the Bucket List" for nothing. That Achievement is not easy to do. You need to really master your board to do this. Also, statistics show that high scoring games take 7 minutes on average. Which means BlastBall MAX kept you entertained for 5 hours 22 minutes. For 3$, that's pretty OK value-wise
Game Impressions I wanted to post some game impressions here. First off, wow this is deceptively deep game. It would be mistake to think it's just another get X in a row games. There's tons of different powerups, missions, and objectives. I can image a lot of work went into balancing out the gameplay. The presentation is very well done and the controls are just right. I'm still getting my head around it but I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a good challenge.
## iT was quite shocking to see , that according to gamecenter just 129 people are playing this game ? Must be quite hard for à developer to see that a game you poured your heart and soul in , is neglected by the public ? Come on people this is a great game! Start playing it ! If you want premium games to survive , show this game some love.
Game Center stats can be deceptive. Up until Friday the 6th, we've sold close to 1k games. Which means that there's a lot of people not using the Game Center log-in. For a 3$ game, those are pretty good numbers. Certainly if you consider that only one review has been written (and not a particularly good one, on Pocket Gamer), and you can count only 1 and a half day of promotion by being on the App Store Best Naw Games List. At this moment, BlastBall MAX is only featured on the US and Canada list, but since our game supports 3 more European languages (Dutch, Spanish and German), we're hopeful that we'll get featured in the rest of the world next week. Looking at the user reviews, which are all 5/5 scores and texts praising the game's depth and gameplay, we really could not have hoped for a better start. Some more websites will do a review, some other won't. But our goal (getting Apple to notice us and put the BlastBall brand on the map as something that's of great gameplay value), those have been met. There's a free bare-bones introduction version coming (called GO) for all those who stayed on the fence (we even want to do a high score competition with it, maybe even here on TA), two other BlastBall games (called BLITZ and PUZZLE) using the same mechanic, and an Apple Watch 1 on 1 version (called DUO). So don't worry, the BlastBall brand is looking very healthy and the support here on the TA forum is one of the reasons we got to this point. So from all of us at Monkube: THANKS!
One more thing that I wanted to add to this: We can make the amount of Game Center players go way up, x5 an higher, by dropping the BlastBall MAX price to 99c, now that is is featured on the Best New Games list. But I won't. As we'd rather suck up that loss in income and be part of the solution to the difficulties Premium games are going through, than join the reason the this problem exists. People wanting to test our puzzle mechanic on the cheap, will have to wait until the bare bones Free version is released. But we're not kicking early adopters in the nuts just to please the people who don't want to risk money on a new game.
I was worried about the number of players too, hope it works out for you! I love this game a lot, it is very deep. One suggestion: it took me a few games to figure out how to select boosters for the games - once you get it is obvious but I just did not get it first...
Yeah, nowhere near the monsterscores posted in this thread but still had a big smile on my face when I finished my game with a score of 52665 points # .
