Immortal Rogue was one of the last games I beta tested a few years ago, never played End of the Universe however. Kyle has got to be one of the most interesting and creative devs on iOS, his constant motifs of fantasy-as-sci-fi and time manipulation is awesome. Been excited for the one for a bit, as well as all the other crazy projects he’s got in the oven. The grind from Survival mode to bolstering your squad to take into Command Mode seems really cool. Hopefully the game does well enough to garner some updates too
Great to see you back here JCho! I just came in to say the latest update pretty much totally cleaned up the movement/cover issues. I’m very thankful for that! The only thing that’s still bugging me (haha) is the main planetary screen. When I go to upgrade it’s like it’s going right through the window I’m in and interacting with the background. For example: if I press “upgrade” and there’s an interactive spot in the background, it will try to click on that, bumping me out of the upgrade screen. Other than that, I have to agree with the above post, in that, Kyle has a really unique style that transferred over from Immortal Rogue. I love his work.
The game is not class based. Every time you start a survival mode, you are given two characters to choose from, where each character has a random main weapon (out of 3) + a random gadget. You get to select an armor type after selecting a character. During the survival mode, after each battle, you are given two missions to select from, with different perks as a reward. You also get to choose a new gadget out of three as you rank up. As far as I am aware, perks for armors that you unlocked become available as a mission reward, so I suggest you invest into armor unlocks first.
ahh i see! well that one bloke seems to have got a space wizard/mysterio vibe going on, which is quite cool
yes!! i still see your game center profile whenever i look at the “who’s playing?” on a new game on the store still holding down the fort here i see! if you’ve noticed, i pop in about every 4 years now, after i’ve upgraded my phone and i’ve actually got space… just picked up a 13 pro and wow she is beautiful! and the Immortal Rogue sequel Kyles teased on twitter as a “Night King Simulator” looks particularly fantastic
This game has caught my attention because the gameplay looks similar to the beta game that shiny shoe and good shepherd entertainment (devs Monster Train) has just aired called Inkbound. This game looks like it has similar time based strategy. Anyone else able to comment? I kinda wish it went to landscape mode as I prefer games that way.
