i've been playing this game a lot more since my last post and i've gotten used to the controls but dodging and blocking still feels weird. When i try to dodge sometimes i do some other action instead, and when i do dodge its not in the direction i wanted to go, and double tap hold to block just doesnt feel right on the iphone.

Surely there is a room for improvement in controls, but i feel giving the mechanics this game uses they are pretty much spot on. I felt really comfy after 45 min's or so.

Even if you dont support legacy devices just wanted to say I didnt expirience any crashes (my last playing session was 2+h) only slowdown in framerate is just before video is about to load, but all good while in combat mode

Excellent! That's good to hear. With updates cooking, it sounds like we should be in good shape for iPhone 4 support at global launch!

Well, you good Sir just made my day. I had a feeling you were going to restrict it to 4s and onwards in future update wich I fully understand

Good game, impressive graphic, but ugly controls!

Seems a lot of people don't like the controls. Hard to tell from comments (I don't have the game) whether the controls are an innovation that just takes some getting used to, or just plain bad, or a mix of both.

I remember when I first played a first person shooter that used a mouse. It was Quake IIRC. I hated it. I had spent ages mastering Doom's key controls and I didn't like the change at all. Of course the Quake controls were actually a huge step forward and I just had to get used to them. Anyone think that's the case here?

This was our mindset going in, that the unfamiliarity might be an obstacle for some users, but that those that stuck with it would realize we were actually pushing this kind of action genre on mobile forward in an important way. I don't know for sure if we pulled it off, but we all really love to play the game, and it's far deeper from a navigation and combat POV than any other action game we've seen on touchscreen devices.

This is a repost of a comment I made on another persons post, I think it's an interesting idea and the devs missed it, I wanted to see what they thought, so I apologize for reposting.

Here is a weird idea.... I wonder if a two finger tap on the enemy could be a punch and a two finger swipe in various directions could be a "dodge in the direction you swipe" that could save us from the issue I mentioned earlier about dodge issues with the screen size and you could dodge backwards by swiping down, forwards by swiping up, left by swiping left, etc

So at first I thought I was having trouble with the movement controls outside of combat, but then I realized it was the way the camera moves as the character does. While running forward, everythigs fine. But when the guy is running left, he moves to the left side of the screen, so all I can see is what's behind him, and not where he's going. Because of this, I find myself running forward, stopping, moving the view, then running forward again. I think the movement controls would work better if the camera turned more as the character does, allowing you to see in front of him.

I am, however, thoroughly enjoying the game.

Thanks for the feedback! The game definitely feels better if you don't try to take control of the camera while moving. In tight quarters, sometimes taking control, then moving, is the natural thing to do, but just letting the camera follow your movement and getting the hang of moving in the direction you want is the easiest way to learn the controls.

We can look at making the follow aspect of the camera bit more aggressive, but the downside is that the camera feels like it moves ALL the time, even when you kind of want it to stay steady and just let you make small directional changes. I think this is good where we have it, but we'll keep looking at small adjustments. Again, thanks for relaying your experience. Really helpful! And of course, glad you're enjoying the game!

Hy. Great game and all great things that dont need to be said at this point :)
Just to report, somebody already reported with one location screenshot on ch6, but on ch5, when you returning with 5 pices to open blockade to free wiliams brother, is a whole bunch of locations with missing textures, transparent buildings and empty spaces, even at begin when you turn around and game is unplayable for me from that point, i can just walk around through buildings and empty spaces :/ even restarted the chapter and again its the same :( im on mobile so cant attach screenshots :/
Oh yea, and often random crashes :/
    Im on 4s 16gb.
So hope you fix it :)

Brett a thing i found during the results screen that should be fix in my opinion is the next

I was starting again the whole game so during the first chapter there a 3 souls sharps but i miss one so the results show me i got 2 of 3 so far so good so i play the level again collect the one i miss the first time and the results screen show me that i collect 1 of 3 instead of the 3 of 3 since the other 2 i got them in the first play

Hopefully i may myselft clear explaning this

For the gameplay i'm staring to get used to the controls but i still think the dodge and block could be better, maybe blocking right corner of the screen with just one finger with two fingers sometimes william do a punch this happen most when you are in a close space

Thanks for the heads up on this KoRoV. We're aware of this issue, but it would be great to have your save data for repro in case we missed anything. Can you send it to us? Just click the mail envelope from the title screen and give us a short description in the email body so that we know what issue is being reported. And thanks for the kind words!
