Bladeslinger I didn't know the game is episodic! I've just played through chapter one and I absolutely love it. I hope the game is long as the file size is relatively small for such a graphical masterpiece! Just leaves real racing 3 and mc4 on my wish list for this year now.
umadbro? Dead Space is No.1 all time best mobile game in my books, but the graphics were good then and still hold their own now, but Bladeslinger blows it out of the water. Please get your facts right. I'd say this is among the top 10 best looking games on mobile devices at this point in time.
There are 6 chapters in the game. Each is included in the download. There is no pay-to-progress model here, just an indication from the developer that they intend to tell much more of the story about this universe in the future. Absolutely not. Check out our interview question on this topic here: http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/slide-to-play-q-and-a-bladeslinger-launch Dusty blue They're all in there. It would take a year or more to create another full "episode" of story based on the amount on content in Bladeslinger "Ep.1". Brett @kerosenegames kerosenegames.com
ZoidazoiD, dude...we're really sorry. Basically, Bladeslinger needs 512MB of RAM to run well right now. You have it in your device. Absolutely. But there's no way for us to define the requirements of Bladeslinger such that you can get the game, but people with an iPod Touch 4th Gen (256MB RAM) won't. I know that seems silly...it's the way it is for developers right now So, our choice is to open the game up to you AND people that will probably have a poor experience and rate the game 1 star, or leave iPod Touch out all together. We chose the former, based on our soft launch experience. The good news is that we *think* we're going to be able to support 256MB devices in the future, but probably not until January. When we do, we'll be able to turn on support for these devices, and the iPod Touch 5th Gen (512MB RAM) as well. Brett @kerosenegames kerosenegames.com
I cant believe I had the chance to download this free and didnt. I swear I thought I did but I guess I never got around to it. Oh well.
Timmybaz, glad you're liking it!! You're probably 10% complete, or less, having just finished Chapter 1...so MUCH more to come. And if you're kinda nuts, you can always try the harder difficulties too...you just keep leveling up Brett @kerosenegames kerosenegames.com
Mods, by all means delete if it's inappropriate - given this is an iOS forum and all - but I've not seen this anywhere else and, well, if the devs are actually paying this much attention to the thread... I'd just like to know if the Android version is still planned as a Tegra-only title? If so, timed exclusive or permanently locked down until further notice? (Not going to rage if so - I know sometimes you have to do these things - but it'd be nice to have that clarified.) I'd happily get the iOS version if I could, but having just replaced my Android tab it'll be a while longer than I'd hoped before my poor old iTouch 4G gets the boot.
I think I found a bug. In chapter two (or is it chapter one? The one after the intro segment) I advanced through the town to get a green shard thing and ended up in a fight with a bunch of guys. When I went back to go to the saloon, it wouldn't let me enter. Now I can't advance the story. Help!
The episode is divided into chapters, I don't know how many but I have finished the first one, only took 11 minutes. I hope there are many because I enjoyed those 11 mins when I got home from work! Now time to get on with more game time! In the game title it is called bladeslinger ep.1 or whatever, so that suggests there will be episode 2,3 etc.. In the future. I hadn't heard this was the plan before, that's all
Jeez, I just replied to the first reply I had but thanks everyone for the feedback! If I had read all the posts since I would have seen all my questions had been answered, I'm kinda new to posting here but have been reading the forums for a while. In my opinion this is better than dead space but then that's just my opinion, each to their own
Well that's what I suspected, however, it seems like if you list at the top of the app description "not compatible with ipod 4th generation or any device below 512RAM" .......and individuals who choose not to (or can't) read decide to buy your game.... is that not their fault for choosing to be uninformed? Additionally isn't it true that people WILL rate your amazing game one star in the app store for their own dumb reasons anyway? (I see this every day it's ridiculous.) I am so eager to play your game. I implore you to allow access to purchasing the game to non-compass devices (let society make their 'decision-to-not-read-an-app-description' mistakes and learn from them) I would pay double the price of this game in order to play it today... just saying.
The game seems like a lot of fun, but I'm deleting it. The controls are just too annoying. I'm amazed at the stubborn insistence by the devs that their new one-hand control scheme is the best thing since sliced bread and we can't have ANY other options. I don't see why it would be so hard to implement a Gameloft style of controls, everything would be so much easier and actually playable for me.
Hey Brrbotix! Senior Designer at Luma here. I'm sorry you're having trouble - don't worry, you can go to Chapter Select at any time via the main menu. Open the pause menu, select the "settings" sub-menu (far-right tab, looks like gears), and tap the button that says "Main Menu". You'll have to fight through that first small part of Hammer's Peak again, but your character progress is always preserved, so you still have all the stuff you earned and unlocked. Before you do that, would you mind sending us your save data so we can try to make sure it doesn't happen for anyone else? In that same settings/gear menu there's an envelope button at the top right. Just tap that and hit send (with any details you want to include) and it will automatically attach your game state. Sorry for the inconvenience. I've never seen that bug before, but hopefully we can fix it so nobody else get's cockblocked right before the first boss fight.
