Oof, didn't make any bitcoins overnight (I usually wake up with several Yb). That's the first time I've had any kind of issue with the game. I've got 50 of everything except Time Travel (which I have 35 of so far). Some tips: 1) Dont watch videos from the emails. Save your limited number of videos to dodge the bad cards that make you lose 1/3 or 1/2 of your bitcoins. 2) Always keep 2 Hyperbits on hand. When you get Hyperbits from the cards, doubling them will always net you a profit. 3) It seems quitting the app is the best way to ensure you are making a profit while you're not playing. 4) If you're willing to put any money into the game, the auto-tapper is a great investment. I can tap faster than 10 (or even 20) times per second manually, but the auto-tapper lets me rest my hands so I can tap my fastest when I have 20 seconds of tap multiplier. The Hyperbit doubler is probably the most valuable option as far as how much time it will save you if you are trying to get every achievement.
For any reason have you had to reboot your device lately? This seems to be related and we are looking into it.
I'm a little further ahead of you, I got 50 of EVERY investment and did a Reset. Now I am working on 2 achievements for my new game, namely getting to Bit Miner v25.0 with less than 50 taps AND reach Bit Miner v25.0 while never leaving your starter home. The latter is easy, but the former is kind of nerve racking when you have the auto miner IAP. I made one accidental tap and hold while trying to open a box and got 27 clicks in less than a few seconds. I agree with all of your tips. In reference to your final tip, I believe that you are correct, the most time consuming achievements in my opinion are going to be leveling all investments up to level 5 and reaching the maximum balance. I haven't decided when I am going to attempt these 2 achievements, but I am certain that they will be my last 2 and that I will do them on the same play through. The thing to keep in mind is that every time you reset at Bit Miner v25.0 you get a permanent 20% coin increase, however you also lose all investment levels. So I need to decide how high I want to get my bonus multiplier before I decide to go for those last 2 achievements. My strategy for this game is as follows: Game 1: Get to Bit Miner v25.0 AND get 50 of EVERY Investment then Reset. This will max out at least 35 achievements. Game 2: Get to Bit Miner v25.0 with less than 50 taps AND stay in the starter house then Reset. This will max out 2 more achievements. Game 3: Get to Downtown with NO investments AND get to Bit Miner v25.0 then Reset. This will max out 1 achievement and get you to tier 2 of the Reset achievement. During the course of those 3 games you should also max out the achievements for total taps and speed taps, as well as the luck achievement and the total boxes opened achievement. Now you'll only have 4 achievements left to get: Reach max Bitcoin balance. Get all investments to level 5. Reset the game at Bit Miner v25.0 x number of times (I'm not sure what tier 3 is yet, probably 5 or 10.) and a Secret Achievement (Hint: You win some , you lose some) So what I might do at that point is just rush through the game to Bit Miner v25.0 as fast as I can and Reset, and repeat until I get the Reset achievement. Then possibly go for the Final 2. By the way, has anyone gotten the secret achievement yet? The other secret achievement (Hint: Aim High) is Spoiler Big Piece of Pi: Reach a Bitcoin Balance of 3141592653589793238462643 (3.14 Yb) Anyone else have a similar game plan? Also has any one made a spreadsheet of how much each investment costs per increase or how much each Bit Miner upgrade costs?

Makes me wonder how many people would be happy with games that you just download, open, and they display a giant "You Win!" banner with some fireworks-y particle effects.
You've just given me a great idea for a new app. You download the app and start it, the screen instantly displays the text: "YOU WIN!" with smaller text below that says: "You can win again in 60 seconds or click here to watch a video and win again instantly." The game then repeats ad nauseam. Add in a ton of metrics like how many times the player has won the game, how many videos they've watched, how many timers they've waited for, etc. Add a ton of achievements for winning x number of games or watching x number of videos and add a Game Center leaderboard to track which players have won the game the most and I think you'll have a featured app of the week on your hands.
Only watch videos or spend gems when you get the "lose 1/2 or 1/3 of your bitcoins" cards or the "pirates steal an investment" cards. Don't spend your gems or videos on anything else. For the "no investment income for x minutes" cards, just accept them and wait it out. Delete any mail that asks you to watch a video. Never use videos or gems to double any reward. Playing like this, I never lose bitcoins or investments because I always have videos or gems as protection. The "no investment income for x minutes is not that big of a deal and doesn't bother me, but I have enough of a gem surplus now that I could buy my way out of those for quite some time, possibly indefinitely, if I chose.
We are contemplating a change to only have positive cards (no negative), but then change how much you get for spending Hyperbits to have more impact. For example, spending Hyperbits may give you 4x or 8x instead of just 2x. Still allow videos for doubling. Edit: Also considering just lowering how negative the negatives are instead of removing them. Any thoughts?
I would argue with your advice to "Never use videos or gems to double any reward." You should ALWAYS use gems to double the gem reward, you always come out ahead.
It is a tough situation. I personally don't find the negative cards that disparaging, but I also tend to hoard my Hyperbits to save my but from those lose 1/2 or 1/3 of your total. I don't have a lot of opinion on the random events, but I do have one suggestion for you. Can you please make a toggle for the Auto Miner IAP? It makes it really difficult to get the Upgrade BitMiner to v25.0 with less than 50 taps achievement. You make a couple mistaps on the screen and your run is ruined and you need to start all over again, very frustrating.
Ah, yes, you are correct! That's the one exception to the rule. I wasn't thinking about the gem rewards when I wrote my post. Of course, I could argue that in those specific situations, you aren't really spending the gems, so much as multiplying them, hehe. But yeah, using two gems to double a reward of two or more gems is obviously something you shouldn't skip.
One other idea. What if the Something Happened cards are purely opt-in, like the e-mails? You can choose if you want to play or not.
I'm sure a lot of people would like that as well. That way they could choose NOT to pick a card when they have a ton of money on hand. One suggestion though, there should be positive card counter parts to the lose 1/2 or 1/3 of your money cards. Cards that multiply your total money on hand by 1.33 or 1.5, that way people might be tempted to hoard really large sums of money in the hopes of multiplying it, however there would also be the risk of losing 1/3 to 1/2 of it too.
Sadly these days that would be far too many to count. People are forgetting what a good game is. Just compare some games from the 80's to some games today. Sure the graphics are way better but the gameplay is being dumbed down into the ground. Not just mobile games either.
