Its a good game but I am wayyyy more excited about all the monetizing ideas this game is giving me. While it might be a little thick on ads they really did this right! The ads arnt bothersome to gameplay yet they are going to make sooooooo much money.
Fun take on the cookie clicker game Very clever way of using ads, it's really brilliant I wonder if there is any end game or prestige mode but fun so far
Game Impressions I had fun playing this game until it started spamming me with negative cards. They require to watch an ad video or pay an ingame currency that is rare or screwing you royally. Once I was gathering 15 gb for that investment and losing 5 out of the blue was a huge hit. But the problem is, the video is never available when the card hits! It is always available on letters, but on that screen, the 10+ times I tried to watch it in different times, it is always not available. So you are screwed. I'm playing a game for fun, and events that totally ruin my fun are not something I'm looking forward when playing a game. I can play something else instead. Thanks.
^^ That's the one part of this game I hate. Otherwise it's super fun and addicting as crack. That one hitch though kind of makes me want to play it less because some of the 25 gems you get unboxing daily goes towards skipping negative cards unless you constantly accept them which sucks. And I don't want a zero gem count, you need them for other stuff! It breaks up the flow. If there was always a video to watch instead, that would be cool, but it seems there's only a handful. Good game though, I'm liking it pretty well so far. On a side note, is Game Center broken for this, or is it just mine?
I agree. It'd be nice if the events had a more "opt in", risk-reward setup like the Wrath cookies in Cookie Clicker. Still, I'm enjoying the heck outta this game.
Doesn't show up in my played games in GC so you're not the only one. I'm surprised how addictive this is. Playing on an iPad is nice because you can use as many fingers as you can fit on the screen. I was using my index, middle, and ring finger of both hands and it really gave me a boost. Might want to disable multitouch gestures though, as I accidentally closed the app a few times using this method I agree with the comments above about running out of ads, and the way you can lose so many bitcoins because of it. I would also love to see an iCloud feature added, like the way it's used in Tiny Tower Vegas, allowing me to continue right where I left off when I want to play on my iPhone. I've almost got enough to buy the cat for my office. Totally stoked about that!
I was never interested in the clicking of cookies, so I don't know if I'll like this game or not. Well, at least it's free, so I'll try this and see where it goes...
Having so much fun! But I HATE how you can loose 1/3 of your premium currency if you pick a wrong card. Lovely game otherwise!
Yeah game blows when you can't get an ad running and you have to pay your way out of negative cards. I've found 40% of the time i have at least 2 negs. Then once i had 3 negs. Wtf.
I don't have s problem with the negative cards, you can buy your way out (if the video is not available) for 2 crystals. I have played a couple of hours and have well over 40 crystals and that is after buying my way out of a number of bad cards. The game is pretty generous with the crystals.
Game Impressions Game is a) too unforgiving to be fun and b) too simple to have much long term value. Let me explain each. Too Unforgiving There are two different things here that I think are easily fixed and must be fixed. First, "something happened" is far too punishing. Sure, it has nice positive effects, but I find I get a negative effect more often than not and some of them are devastating, in particular cards that make you lose investments, which always seem to take away something I just purchased after saving for a long time. The point of these games is to make progress - loss of income or whatever hurts because it stops progress, but losing your most expensive investment is going BACKWARDS. Completely not fun. Second, the game only lets you upgrade to 50% income while closed *and* it pauses if you just leave it open. I understand that you're trying to make money, but this basically requires active play, and frankly the active play is not entertaining enough to justify it. Games like Cookie Clicker are successful because you can just let them run while you do other things and then come back when it's time for something cool to happen. Which brings me to... Too Simple If this game is going to last more than 24 hours on my phone, it needs to have much more interesting upgrades. Apparently the only upgrades are coins per click and decor, and investment upgrades only make that investment better while you have the app closed. Seriously? Upgrades need to interact with each other, and they need to provide bonuses where a little bit of thought is required to determine what to upgrade. I was about to write that I don't think the devs could possibly have played Cookie Clicker, but I just got the "Just Plain Lucky" achievement so I guess they did. In the next update, I hope to see evidence that they learned something from it.
I encountered a little bug. After playing for about a minute, I could no longer open my phone ingame. After tapping it several times though, it would work, but my taps would really be inaccurate. For example, if I press the home button, it thinks I pressed Investments. This is an amazing game, but this bug kind of ruins it for me.
Can you please submit that to http://www.fizzpow.com/contact.html . Also include any info on your device so we can try to track it down
In regards the negative "Something Happened" cards, those are all random. Like anything, people attach more to the negative than positive but it is possible that you can get all 3 positive as well. Just luck of the draw really. The problem with video ad services is they have a limited inventory of ads they can serve us, so we cant show an unlimited amount. Some beta players have locked into the strategy of saving up Hyperbits and Video Ads to avoid possible negative events and not using them up too early.
We increased how many "Something Happened" Cards you can skip! Close & Restart the app while you have a data connection to get latest settings. Enjoy =)
Buy my first bitcoin casino, then "something happened! You lose a bitcoin casino." Had used up my gems shortly before, and THIS time I'm not allowed to skip it for free. Cute. Uninstalled. Was fun while it lasted. Brilliant way to make people watch a whole bunch of ads. Edit: yeah no, random chance at its finest. Spent too many hours on it as is. Kudos and best of luck.
I promise you, that was not done on purpose, you just had particularly bad luck timing on that event.
