Gawd this game frustrates me, I can't beat the 2nd level, I got pretty far into it though..I hate those single bouncy bits that come in mass packs, they kill me soo fast.

I think I am improving...I got halfway into the first level before dying. Oh the frustration!

This is getting a good amount of neutral reviews. Totally agree with AppSpy on this one.

In AppSpy's opinion BIT.TRIP BEAT is average because it's hard... -_-'

    Same here ;(

I cannot find a pattern on these. And because it is a pretty long way to go to this point, practicing it by repetition is not too much fun IMO

    Still a great game!

This is about the most difficult tilt action game that I've played, even harder than Riddim Ribbon on Hard, although the difficulty of Bit Trip seems to be a bit on the cheap side at times, such as when one is faced with a miniaturized paddle challenge just after sinking into the nether. Currently I lose on the same part of level 2 (Descent) as the other posters above. The first level was easy enough - got several hundred beats in a row on that, but that second is somewhere between humbling and annoying.

    edit:

I made a hands-on gameplay video of the second level, Descent, using tilt controls on a 4th gen iPod touch. As you can see, the controls are plenty precise enough, contrary to what reviewers such as Slide to Play have suggested; the mistakes seem to be my own. The spot in the video where I lose the game is my current impasse. I played this game for the first time last night.

They scored the new Bubble Bobble a 5, I dont really agree with them.

Should I buy the DLC songs? I don't know if the songs are really worth it

Well, it's basically more of the same sort of thing. The first of the Void levels is harder than the second Beat level, and I understand that they just get insane from there out. So of course for me it was a no-brainer.

Ok, but Bubble Bobble Double is another story. ;)
They don't say "BIT.TRIP BEAT is ugly", they say "BIT.TRIP BEAT isn't for all. Average". Meh.

An easier mode would help those who are getting annoyed/disheartened find some enjoyment from the game.

I really love this game because it's hard and changelling. Lately it's the only game ive been playing around.

I finally bought the DLC, and despite there's not any new kind of beat, I like it because it's enough hard and changelling to me.

    THAT is exactly the part.
I stopped playing, I really can't beat it.
Was trying again and again and I just don't get it.
    Tricky part.

Touch mode IS the easy mode. :p

Just play through the first level a few more times, practice really will improve your ability in this game.

EDIT: Also, the "challenge" segments are caused by picking up certain beats; they're a very light grey with a sort of trail behind them. Avoid them if those parts are giving you too much trouble.

Woot! Finally beat the 2nd level. For the others who are having a hard time with the 2nd level, if it's the segments with blue bouncing pieces, just find the rhythm. They only land on the same 2 spots, you should just have to move quick.

Btw, level 3 demolished me in like under a minute haha.
