Well i've got a 4S and i must admit i didnt expect Bioshock to work on it, sad to read that officially though. This 'might' be the game to get me to upgrade at some point next year. I'll wait till the next iphones announced as that'll then make the iphone 5's cheaper on ebay !
Hmmm...the title is misleading though,I think it's for some unannounced game which was supposed to release years ago.Atleast update the description and the title.
ahhh... this is EXACTLY why I bought an iPad Mini 2, iOS exclusive games like this that are just utterly mind blowing! Can't wait to take those big daddy's on and kill those little brat girls again haha, then play it again saving everyone. I suspect Bioshock is finished now, they've made 3 so I would imagine they'll make a new IP now if the team remains together, these day's games studios are collapsing or being closed regularly But very excited to play the original on me iPad. And I said we should expect it, didn't think it would be this year though!
So is this an exact port of BioShock 1? or a condensed/seperate storyline of the first game for mobile? If this is indeed the first BioShock, I imagine it'll be a huge iOS game somewhere between 2gb to 4gb.
Exact port of bioshock one released in 2007 on xbox 360,ps3 and pc. P.S doesn't really look all that great tbh considering it's an ipad air,The shader effects have been cut tremendously.The textures though look weirdly low res I don't know why the highest quality textures from pc version weren't used here,probably the only reason is because of the file size.Still BIOSHOCK ON IPAD!!#!
Isnt there a 2 gig limit ? I'm sure they'll get the size down just like they had to for Baldurs Gate and a few others Just wish Apple would have 128 gig iphones, specially as the memory size is the 'cheap' part of Apple devices.
The PC game is around 5,7 GB. And this is indeed an exact port (or at least it seems to be this way after watching the hands-on video).
I doubt it tbh it runs poorly on ipad air as it is they can't really lower the graphics much more tuan that.Although why ipad3 isn't supported is quite questionable since they are supporting iphone 5 which is almost similar in raw power.I doubt it's the res since it's going to be sub 720p on all devices.
My guess about the size is that it will probably be around 2-3 GB, dunno, the shaders and textures seem to be dumbed down a little for what I've seen of the Pocket gamer's hands-on video
