And then someone could easily argue that this is a computer, so having no admin privileges on it is abnormal. *shrug* Also, I feel I must make a pun about comparing apples to Apples.
The pun is well played sir! You could then argue that your car is very much a computer and you should have admin access to it... but you're not suppose to. Otherwise people would be dishonest, roll back mileage, etc. When we don't have access to something it is for a reason. Sure, there are people who can and will bypass the control mechanisms to a car... but I doubt it's to make the horn sound like a T-Rex.
I don't get why people are deliberating whether to buy or not. There is no valid reason not to. Some people just don't know quality produce when they see it. Insane.
Sure there are. Money issues is a first. Not everyone can afford $15, sadly. Also, some people might not get hooked while playing it or even plain disliking it. Might come as a shocker, but different people have different taste.
Fair enough but I put it to you that for the price of single consumable cinema ticket that will last you 2+ hours of movie entertainment you could purchase Isaac and OWN 100+ hours of beautiful downright debauchery.
The problem may be the "mobile games only worth 0.99$" mindset that people adopt Same as me who bewildered with people who buy overpriced coffee *cough*cough on a daily basis... i could never understand those people LOL
I don't blame people for questioning the price. The App Store has TRAINED people into believing a decent game should be between free and a couple bucks. Way too many games chasing the same dollar. A person could get three to five high quality titles for the same price as this older port. Would have far more varied gameplay this way too. And you don't want them to ask questions? And saying it has five hundred hours of gameplay doesn't help if they get bored of it in ten. Or didn't learn to like it much in the first place. So let them ask. It IS a port on a tiny screen with possible less than ideal controls So just maybe it should be a tad cheaper than other versions. You may disagree but it's not an unreasonable assessment. I DO agree about the overpriced coffee though...# I've always made mine at home.
Newsflash, people are different. Seriously, it's not about the money for me, I just know what I'm like with games having bought so many tover the many years I've been playing, and so sometimes it's better to wait a day or so; maybe there are game changing bugs discovered; maybe the port turns out to be pants (seen a few of them over the years)coupled to the fact I'm not really into dual stick shooters, then you may begin to see there are other variables to your assumption. Anyway, the points is, this game is bloody amazing.....haha. I'm converted. Been playing for the last few hours and I can't put it down. Love it.
The game plays perfect on the "tiny" screen, which is not tiny at all for this. For me, the portability is a plus, not a less. The same could be said to many mobile players, I guess. The controls work very well. I don't see why this must be cheaper than any other platform.
Yeah and im gonna dip again when it launched on switch... hope nicalis will released afterbirth + for ios
dude just leave if your going to act like that, you have 4 posts you came on here just to post spoilers just to be a douche. really lame man, really lame...
I get what you mean about piracy being a motivator behind jailbreaking. It's foolish to deny that exists, I agree. That said, I still think you're making piracy on iOS out to be a bit worse than it is for the purpose of your argument. It's surprisingly not as big as you would expect, especially compared to Android. The seedy side of the community is fragmented, uninformed, often outdated and not really motivated compared to even the Android hacking and piracy scene. Last time I went into detail in an unrelated thread my post got deleted since it was "against the rules", so please just take it from me that it's not quite what you would think given the precedence (it's not as big a scene as DS flash carts or PSP CFW, bringing up historical examples here isn't really applicable). It's there, yes it is, it is a factor, but it's not as big as you would expect from this sort of thing. AND! You actually don't even need to be jailbroken to pirate apps anymore! So there's even less of a motivation there given how much harder it is to jailbreak nowadays. The tweak to installed cracked apps isn't even supported on the latest jailbreak as of now. The most well-informed and biggest jailbreaking community by far is the jailbreak subbreddit and affiliated sites, and that place is staunchly anti-piracy for both official iOS apps and paid jailbreak tweaks. To get back to what I think the original argument was, there are two other non-jailbreak reasons to not be on iOS 10: 1. You have apps that are not compatible that you wish to still use (I keep a few devices ranging from iOS 3-iOS 7 because some of my favorite games never got updated). 2. You're scared of decreases in performance (my 4s died a slow and painful performance death being dragged from iOS 6 to iOS 9) So I think it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect an app to reach as many iOS versions down as it is capable of. Especially when BoI: Rebirth actually runs completely fine on iOS 9 as-is, I don't see where any extra work would need to go in.
I agree wholeheartedly with all you say but please learn the true meaning of decimated. It's from Roman Empire times and means to reduce something by a tenth. Hence the 'dec' in the word. Learned in Latin from skool. To decimate a population the Romans would line up the survivors of their conquests just to murder each tenth person.
He used the word correctly. It doesn't have anything to do with its origin, but what the word itself actually means. Look it up in literally any dictionary.
I am talking about historical context which is where all words originate from. Learn Latin then learn the true meaning of words like decimated. The fact is its incorrect usage, like our friend above, has diluted its true meaning. That doesn't make him correct. I speak in veritate.
I wouldn't pay 20 bucks to go see a movie I don't want to watch, regardless of the hours of "entertainment". I also wouldn't pay 20 bucks for a game I don't want to play, even if it would be 500 hours of disappointment. Money is not a factor for me but I don't like rogue-likes or dual stick shooters and for that reason I am out. Even if the game were free, I wouldn't want to pick it up and usurp a dev of income because I LOVE what this game represents in the market. Premium Play at a Premium Price.
I might ask too late but... Downloading it through your computer and using IPA Installer and forcing install works ? If it does I will buy this tonight !
