it's as always Snoop, dull people with lack of personality get carried by hype, see also Super Mario Run, just to mention one of the most recent hype for another impersonal game without any fresh concept... but it's MARIO, the brand counts a lot i guess. this one is a good game, i've played it on PC, but it's more of the same, nothing that hasn't already been done.
My thoughts exactly. Even people like or don't like this kind of stuff. Eiher way is ok. It's a shame that people are spoiled on mobile about pricing. This should be the norm, not the exception.
it's not a matter of fun or not Dankrio, i'm pragmatic, and i know sometimes pragmatism hurts... i.e. i plan to buy and play Shadowrun Returns (have you seen it?) at $1.99 this week, so... explain me, why should I spend 13 more bucks on this and what makes it so much better and hyped?
It was not pragmatic, it was just plain arrogant implying that people who love the game are without personality and bland. I don't think it's true at all. On the other hand, you are free to do whatever you want with your money. No one is forcing you into buying BOI.
I don't argue about games I just think if more people play games maybe they would understand hype, can we get back to the game
Some things are meant to be experienced, not talked about. How to put, for instance, "love" into words? It might sound dumb if someone try to describe it. Also, the experience is unique to each individual. There's no way that love would affect us exactly all the same. The same could be said with games and other forms of art. It might "click" or not. And there's nothing wrong with that.
hey, i just talking about generally undeserved (imho) hypes (Snoop and others wondered why in their posts)... i'm playing vg since late 70s and hype has always existed, as well as in music, movies, comics, etc, and most of the time doesn't match with reality, and this doesn't necessarily mean that the product is poor. i.e., have you seen or try Highway Runners (one at random)? it is another OutRun clone, right? ok, an excelent clone with a couple of fresh ideas, but it came from nowhere, no one have previously talked about it, and it's still poorly discussed although it has been very well received... so... how TBOI (or SMR) is much better and talked than HR (or put another random name of your choice)? sorry Dankrio, but imho it has always been a matter of lack of personality, mostly... going after what everyone else does and talks... but hey, it is a subjective opinion.
There's plenty of games like this for $1 on the App Store, it's just a simple platform game nothing new or hasn't been done before.yes it has its 2d pretty sprites I can give you that but to the point the gameplay looks repetitive/bland/vague and boring. Give this game a few weeks and you'll see the price drop down around $9.99, sorry but that's how it is now days. It's not even a Zelda game for gods Sakes.
Yeah, when you look at things like that in game development it's all about how many people is a feature going to benefit and how many more sales will it get as a result. If I were building a game, I wouldn't focus much on making sure jailbreakers on ancient versions of iOS can play the game when most of them are just going to steal it. (Not saying that's the case with the people asking for it in this thread, but you've got to realize if you're a jailbreaker who doesn't pirate everything you're in the absolute extreme minority.) Also, ya'll need to stop taking the bait from all the trolls coming to the thread to complain about pricing and other dumb stuff. They're just looking for attention, don't give it to 'em.
I used to be an active member of the JB community and never stole anything. Talk about sweeping statements. Anyway this is a premium 5 star game. Anyone who moans about the price deserve their freemium crap.
Well my friend everyone has their free will to express opinions for games here. For that price tag, you can get way more better games which are on the App Store. I just can't justify a game with that amount especially from some unknown indie company, if it was square enix then it's another story. Angry birds at its early stages charged $1 and was a premium quality game with constant updates. And this game? I highly doubt it.
