I spent aprox $30 on this game, I started investing heavily on the AR next time I knew it they made it utterly worthless on higher levels so i started investing on the Vaporizer which is now useless if face with rocket launchers especially in close quarters, I started buying energy to exchange for credits and I'm glad I stop because what I use to think is a good investment can be turned into crap if ngmoco decides to. Ngmoco is starting to be really greedy, they up the credits needed to upgrade and now instead of giving us new weapons you can own, they give us prototypes... Consumables that give those willing to buy it temporary advantage in battle, I specially hate the new prototype noob cannon! I am dissapointed that a prototype noobish weapon, one bad map and one re-skined map are the only counter they can offer against an obvious competition.
The whole game is a fail. Everything about it fails except it wins at being a failure and it wins at being a failed scam.
Here are a couple of things I posted on the original eliminate thread regarding Eliminate complaints and why many of them are non issues for me. I realize that a lot of this was pointing out my issues with NOVA, but I think the comparison is fair.
i like em both, i don't understand why so many people are so butthurt over a free game. you could lace it with gold and chocolate and folks would still bitch.
Biggest fail of Eliminate? Its childish haters! Seriously, calm down and ignore this great game, if you hate it that much.
Considering the NOVA matchmaking is completely open, you could just as easily end up with somebody 100x better than you.
Biggest Fails of N.O.V.A. -No originality, complete ripoff of Halo -Campaign is as linear as it gets, it requires no thought to complete, just follow a path and shoot enemies -Cliche Story -No incentive to play multiplayer, you don't progress by winning. -Shotgun is horrendous in multiplayer -Void is an incredibly poor map -Cringe-Worthy voice acting -"Hacking" puzzles are not challenging at all I could nitpick at games problems all day. Sometimes it is nice to look at all a game does right, and not the few things it does wrong. Despite the "Fails" listed above I really enjoy NOVA. If you don't like a game, move on and don't come here bitching about everything that is wrong with it, especially a free game, as you did not lose anything playing it except a few minutes.
well none of they game on the apps store are really optimized for the 3GS. they r all just slightly optimized. the 3GS graphics card is 28 times more powerful than the older ones, but no one wants to use it.
I always notice Eliminate characters appear really dark on my iTouch 2nd gen.. they never look like the ones in the video Id also like to say that talking about skill level, its all even weapons.. either ull get good or u can leave lol, you are never UNFAIRLY placed in a room, where Eliminate fails so hard, I would not use that as an argument point for Eliminate Also, what is up with incentives to play multiplayer? personally I loove playing it because its FUN, not because there is a carrot-on-a-stick.. its like Halo, u dont level up into like a end-game raiding guy hahaha... seriously the carrot-on-a-stick is the worst method
True about that 'carrot on the stick'! The system they implemented and keeps on implementing on eliminate is all about the bucks for Ngmoco. Yes, some wil say that they didn't spend a single buck but really do you think that is what ngmoco wants to hear? If every player stop buying off energy expect them to do something drastic to make them spend again! It's so obvious and you worshipers are blinded!
