Mystery Trackers: The Void and Stray Souls: Dollhouse Story are excellent games and well worth .99 (both hidden object/"adventure lite" type games).

That one has a Lite on the icon for the IAP version, and is Free in the App Store - the Full version has an HD on the icon and costs 0.99 (during sale).

If you do a search in the app store just on Nick Chase you will clearly see the 2 different versions.

Redemption Cemetary, and Death at Fairing Point - the Collectors Edition is only 0.99. IAP. Don't make a mistake and only purchase the standard - it costs the same, and the CE unlocks a strategy guide and extra modes. IF you already own, the upgrade is also .99 rather than the normal 1.99.

    yup i get you
my gripe is there's no standardization among their full apps.

    it's either
    (Full)
    or HD
    or IAP purchase

it would be great if they standardize all their full apps to have the (Full) tag

    like Playrix (Premium)

Although Playrix has (Premium) that has IAP associated with it. I can't understand which ones of theirs are full or IAP.

Anyways, BFG is sort of like EA and so they have lots of companies that put out games, so although they are more alike than not, there are differences in some of their models. Drives me bananas too. I have all their iOS HOGs and don't like not knowing sometimes between IAP and full. It did not stop me from buying them though.

I have and they are very close. My main focus is on the player reviews as well.

Looking at the forums is a bit biased though, which is why I like the player reviews. So far they have been pretty accurate.

That said, the Empress games, cheesy voice acting and such notwithstanding, are really enjoyable. No, they aren't very challenging, but that didn't matter. Very polished.

I may snap up Stray Souls though, that was on the bubble.... So what the heck. A buck is a buck :)

Yes, BF is the publisher akin to EA. heck, some of their games are done by Alawar, who also publish their own games on the app store (although most aren't that great.)

Oh, and although Patchworkz might have been on sale for $1.99, it is currently $4.99.

Man I really want Phantasmat... Why isn't that on sale? :(

Bought the sequel to Drawn, yay! Are there others that aren't primarily HO games? Hard to tell if stray Souls is or not.

The Robinson Crusoe one was NOT primarily HO.

If anyone has recommendations for ones that ARE primarily HO, please let me know. :D

the most annoying is when u buy a version, unlock the IAP and they release another (Full) version.. but oh well OCD

it isn't stopping me but management have gotten more difficult as iTunes no longer reflect as "Downloaded" apps bought on different accounts.

Just been playing Death at Fairing Point, and the HO is almost non-existent. Story, some puzzling things together, adventure if you will. Nice Graphics, but I like a lot of HO, so this is not going to top my list of HO games, but if you primarily like the exploration, puzzle types, give this one a look. Puzzles are pretty simple though.

I can say nearly all of them...maybe not Mirror Mirror, Loco Train and the 'Christmas-themed' games of BF (not very polished or funny), Time Mysteries, Redemption Cemetery

It's ridiculous how many big fish apps I have on my device right now, waiting to be played, yet the one I want to play the most (mystery case files) is not on sale :D

No, not just OCD (which I share with you regarding this aspect), but also, I have one more than on one occasion bought the exact same game, having not remembered that I had unlocked the Full Game as an IAP. I'm absolutely certain Big Fish are aware of this, and count on distracted/confused users doing the same, to increase revenue.

It falls very near being sharp practise, i.e. a sneaky business model.

Thankfully all it takes us an email to apple and they'll generally accommodate rectifying the provlem for you. I've yet to have an issue.

Also, another issue I am having a lot, is that you can't see what you bought already... sometimes it seems to work, and something it doesn't.
The button are greyed out then telling you that you purchased it already.

Now everything is showing that I never bought anything... really annoying.

I know.. but if your list is > 890, then it's a pain to search.. since when you switch back, you have to start over again..
