Yeah it can get hard to keep track of I have done that in the past when they have the 24 hour release day sales, usually once I finish playing though I wont get back to playing it again but I do try to use appshopper to keep track of it. I will just click own it and only do that if I purchased the IAP
Ugh yeah, keeping track of this stuff is tough. Buy one via IAP and then they release another full one on the app store. I don't begrudge them much, though, we get so spoiled versus on the PC. you don't find these on sale nearly as much. My problem is that I hoard these apps, and haven't played many I purchased last year! But I WILL play them, and at 1/6th the price, how do I say no?
i'm getting so lost. the problem is. some of the games don't have IAP and does not have the (Full) tag either like one of the Nick Chase games
JCMan - good suggestion with app shopper. I thought spa out putting them in 1Password - maybe the notes section. But, as noted, they are too good for me to pass up.
I am trying to get Patchworkz and Mystery Stories, as well as a few others, but they don't seem to be on sale. I'd really rather not wait another 4 or 5 months for them
I'm not really a fan of the hidden object games. What other notable titles do you suggest I get from BFG?
The Painted Tower and its sequel Drawn: Dark Flight are quite good. Have a look at some of the reviews of the pc version. Don't expect a TLJ or Syberia though, like all other BFG games, they have rather simplistic plots to tie all the puzzles together .
Redemption Cemetery : Curse of the Raven Collectors Edition Death at Fairing Point Collectors Edition both of these - the collectors edition is unlocked with the 99 IAP - or you CAN just unlock the standard edition for the same 99 cents... not sure why you would want to do that.... Also, all there are 66 games that are on sale. They are listed at http://bigfi.sh//66ChristmasSale The ones that have a "Play Now" have the IAP - all the others can just be purchased at the 99 cent price point. I am not a Time management person so I can't speak to those games. Atlantic Sky Patrol HD is quite good, and Mahjong Touch HD are both very good games.
Azada is an interesting puzzle game. But GameZebo has 90% of the reviews on Big Fish's catalog. I would say the large majority of games are hidden object, although there are exceptions to that rule. Azada, their Mahjong game, Drawn to Life is more of a point-and-click style of adventure game and now they have time management games like their Time Builder games, or their building sim games. However their quality comes from their HO adventure games, everything else is still good, but it's like asking Porsche to create a bicycle..
Pluto - isn't Atlantic Sky Patrol just like Zuma or Luxor? But I do agree that the mahjong game Is rather good!
Similar to be sure, but it has some RPG elements that you can upgrade stuff the shooter, and other control elements, and it has different patterns, and boards... Kind of like Match 3-s to a certain extent they are alike - but, they are also all different, so if you like the genre, you buy them... I like those types of shooters, so I try and get them if the price is right... I bought the HD version after suffering along with the 2x for such a long time.. And, yes, the Mahjong is quite good, and the daily challenge is a very nice, new addition. One of the better solitaire Mahjong Apps on the store, esp for the current price. I think that ASP has a lite - try it out and see what you think. I like it a lot, probably right behind Stoneloops (which is no longer available on the app store)
Ugh. Okay so after I went through comparing GameZebo site and user reviews, and after I was all said and done, the only new games on sale (this doesn't include the games from the last sale a little while ago, other than 1 or 2 that I missed) Drawn 2 is a no brainier Awakening 2 - Moonfell Wood has also been well received Death at Faring Point Dark Tails - Murder in the Rue Morgue Gypsy's Tale Robinson Crusoe I'm very disappointed that the top games I wanted, Phantasmat, Patchworkz, Mustery Stories: mountain of madness and Haunted Legends, were not on sale. That isn't to say there weren't good games, by no means are there no good selections, but just take the time to compare against GameZebo. Even at a dollar, a mediocre game is still mediocre.
Was Patchworkz 1.99 to begin with? There is no way to check iap prices history is there? Don't think there's a iapshopper...
Gamezebo's reviews aren't the best and sometimes are quite inaccurate. Take a look at the games themselves and/or forums on Bigfish for more balanced reviews.
They're virtually the same game, reskinned -- and both are very heavily influenced (shall we say) by the PC/Mac game Royal Envoy. If I were going to buy one, I'd probably pick up Pyramid Rising because I think the graphics are nicer. Anybody who hasn't tried the Drawn games, I highly recommend them. Gorgeous graphics, good puzzles, child-friendly but lots of fun for adults, too. And if Phantasmat and Dire Grove go on sale, definitely those as well. Cheers.
If I HAD to narrow it down to my top two picks it would be: Awakening:Moonfell Wood, Adventures: Witches Prison Stray Soulsollhouse Story and Haunted Manor: Queen of Spades come next after the above but Haunted Manor isn't on sale so I kept it off the list Many enjoy Drawn but it's either a hit or miss. At $0.99 it's a no Brainer, buy it and the sequel. I want to finish my collection so I pray the newer ones w IAP go on sale so I can get some good deals
Thx for your input, just bought the drawn games, and on your suggestion bought witch's prison. Perhaps I'll buy stray and dollhouse as well...
