So, does it cycle through missions again when you finish? I like it when games do that. Also, Andy destroyed you. I mean, there's edging out, and then there is doubling someone else's score. Wow. Also also, any chance you (and by you, I mean the dev) will be adding Game Center chevos? I feel like you have an easy 30, plus a few more for finishing them all a second, third, fifth, tenth, etc. time.
Yeah, I'm I'm on my third loop, which is cool. And sh*t. Whenever I get cocky and mouth off to Andy, he always make sure to pulverize me haha. Probably the 10th time this has happened. Agree on the cheevos as well
Thanks for all the support guys! We know about all the bugs and update is being submitted ASAP! Needed to wait for the game to hit the store first. Updates are definitely planned including achievements, more goals and rewards when you finish the game. And the game definitely won't be free as I need to buy food somehow
8/10 from Pocket Gamer http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Beyond+Gravity/review.asp?c=60446 I learned from the review that tapping and holding locks the planet in place, making it easier to avoid the fire things. That made the game way too easy for me, I felt like I could have gone on indefinitely. Eventually I more or less killed myself. I've definitely enjoyed what I've played so far; the jumping and collecting feels right.
I put up some scores that are streets ahead. Someone who has more patience will no doubt pass them. I ended up rushing a jump and missed a landing.
I definitely think a bit more challenge needs to be added to this (which the time surfer mode will add nicely). Here's some other ideas: Planets that move up and down Branching paths of planets (have 2 or 3 planets in front of you to choose to jump to) Laser fences (ala Jetpack joyride) Parts of planets that kill you if you land on them (spikes, lava pits) moons (rotate around planet, have to land on and jump off planet without hitting them, but you're safe once on planet.) Just a few ideas. Moons and lava pits may be a bit too hard, not sure. Another cool idea would be if each different type of alien gave you a different powerup. One could give you a Jetpack (boost ahead a few hundred meters), one could give you a super jump speed boost, one could give you a super magnet, one could give you slo-motion, a grappling hook that will pull you straight to the planet, stuff like that. But the game would need to be made harder before you could justify powerups, for sure.
Another idea: exploding planets on which you can only stand for a few seconds. I also like JCho's idea about the seperate paths you can take by choosing between two or three planets. You could then also implement black holes, which you should avoid.
I am loving this game! As soon as I saw no IAP, instant buy. I'll chime in and say that I would like more planet skins and backgrounds!
Bought the game.Gorgeous graphics but it really needs more content for me to keep playing.Otherwise,5 stars all around.
Smashed my personal goals here of getting +20,000m distance and +50,000 pickups! That just leaves me one more item to unlock and then I retire. Very fun game and thoroughly got my money's worth out of it.
