Fun game I do like it better than the okgolf was it? The most recent one. Besides for maybe pass and play option if your with a friend. Other than that fun game. What's the price going to be? No issues yet, but ill keep you posted. Thanks
That's the one! Of course we were all over OK Golf when it released (Vista was midway through development), loved the visuals and sound design, but we were hoping to achieve controls that were a bit more intuitive - I did feel like there was something to be desired there. Thanks for the input! We have so much input and so many potential new features in future updates, hard to decide where we will go next, but we're just going to continue weighing player input - we obviously just want to give players the features that they most want. Price is free! 2 mulligans per game that each "cost" one 30-second ad is the only monetization, hopefully not too intrusive, but we do need money to support these updates we're talking about
Work has denied me the pleasure of playing this game BUT got to finish hole 9 on Taipei and enjoying this game alot.
Game is a blast to play! Loving every minute of it! My only minor gripe, can you reduce the opaqueness of trees when blocking the ball? I know you can maneuver the camera, but there are times when my ball is still hidden. It's minor, but other than that everything is just fantastic. Hope there is a way to remove ads in the release version.
Thank you! Definitely looking into that as it's been brought up a number of times - there's one hole currently on Taipei where it's a problem. Don't think it will be a launch day fix, but maybe/probably in an update! Honestly I'm holding off on adding an ad removal feature because I don't know how much to charge. Definitely wouldn't be over $3usd, but the "rewarded video=mulligan" thing is a pretty new strategy so we need to do some data collection/analysis before anything else. This will more than likely be the absolute first thing we update though.
No major issues with the game. On the iPad Air 2, rotation, at times, was slightly clunky. The arrow in front of the ball was difficult to gauge when near the hole. I didnt run into any, but it would be nice to see courses with curved slopes, ramps, and moving obstacles (i.e. rotating windmill). These things are staples of any mini golf.
Thanks for giving it a shot! Yeah, unfortunately the FPS drops just a bit on the iPads (no doubt due to the larger screen resolution), though I am looking into ways to speed that up. And we do have those things in the game! You'll see the harder course 'pieces' on the medium, hard, and later infinite mode courses. Here's a GIF showing some of the other pieces that you would have missed if you only played on easy:
I definitely missed those. I might have seen some slopes, but nothing moving in the 18 courses I played. I will have to change the difficulty, as I didnt even notice it on my first run. Are there more instances of ground curved slopes or surfaces? I see one in that gif.
Curved slopes are limited to the 'quarter pipe' piece, though am open to adding more in the future. Would need to test and see how they feel - I currently really like the harsh angled slopes because they make for predictable jump shots, and wanted to keep the number of possible pieces around a certain number, so the player could learn how to play off of each one. Idk, one of those design situations with trade-offs and no one correct answer.
Firstly let me say I'm still really enjoying the game and the new courses. Just a couple of things I have noticed: 1. There is an issue with the rebound angle on holes with the features shown in the pictures below. If you hit the ball roughly where the black dots in the photos are the ball will come back towards you rather than carrying on the correct direction. I hope you understand what I mean. 2. I still think the trees should go see through when the camera is behind them. Some holes on the new courses start with a tree behind the ball which is a bit annoying. As I say though really enjoying it. Well done
Glad I get the chance to congratulate you on topping all 3 courses, well done! Yeah that is a known issue...and unfortunately one I have not yet been able to solve - it's just because of the way Unity does it's physics calculations. Currently gathering input for update #1, this one's definitely near the top of the list. Will also be adding tree transparency when view of the ball is obstructed. Thank you for playing as much as you have been!
