ZWar1 - More general gameplay WIP... Livens flamethrower Submachinegun options WIP Armoury | Store Starspawn breath attack! HIT! A7Vs close in... The next few posts will look at some of the weapons at the player's | squad's disposal, as well as setting up trench defences to slow down the onslaught...
The ww1 graphics and atmosphere look fantastic, with some great animations in the video you shared - will this have mfi controller support? iOS could do with another good FPS shooter with controller support!
And now for some more cosmic horrors and other Lovecraftian foes... It's not just the renanimated and weaponised dead you have to face... When the inter-dimensional portals are open, and the veil between worlds is weak... All manner of nightmarish creatures will try to enter this world and wreak havoc upon it... Meet the Winged Horror... Circles the battlefield spitting acid, then dives in for a low level attack to carry off one of your squad or slash at them with a lethal tail strike...
Meet the Chthonian.. a huge, slithering monstrosity... With a tough, heavily armoured shell, small arms fire just bounces off, even artillery has a tough time damaging them. Basic trench defences are simply crushed underneath their armoured bodies. Let them get too close, and they will target your squad, impaling them with spear-like tongues; they are then dragged into the creature's maw...
That looks like a lot of memory that's going to be used, will iPad Air be compatible? Game looks great by the way, just hoping I'll be able to play it!
Hi Stephan0711 - re: memory, you mean the app size? ZWAR1's footprint is currently around 450mb. The iPad Air is close to the iPhone 6 in performance, so thats currently our base spec... (subject to change ) So far, it runs fine on that, without much optimisation. On iPhone 7 and above, it's very nice.
Damn this looks really nice! If you've got some space or need some help let me know. I have Testflight: [email protected]
Next up are the horrific Star Vampires - creatures that lurk in the void, waiting to break through... These horrors are hard to kill, and they can teleport around the battlefield at will. Let them get too close, and they will eat your face and suck you dry. They are vulnerable to fire and UV... Sustained small arms and grenades can drive them back... Their very presence on the battlefield can drive men insane.
