I registered earlier today as well and submitted my application through the iBetaTest site. I'm excited to see who makes it in.
I ask my afore mentioned question: Anyone here any news about this yet? I'm really excited for this one, hopefully it turns out better than Watchmen: Justice IS Coming (Which I actually loved)
there is nothing listed on what this game is about... for all i know they could be just sending some random avi of stick figures to there phones lol, theres not enough promo behind this game besides three magic letters RPG.... i see no incentive on what this game is going for..... please at least give out little info
From iBetaTest.com - A true MMORPG with real-time support for thousands of simultaneous players in a text/graphic environment. Travel through a living world of active towns, frozen mountain paths, and caverns infested with creatures and treasure. Build your character and set out for untold adventures alone or with up to 4 other party members as you take part in real-time FF-style battles and in-depth quests for loot and glory. Nearly two months have been spent on the network code for this app, so we feel confident it will be as close as you will get to the first true Massive Online RPG available on the iPhone or iPod Touch. http://ibetatest.com/iphone/controllers/apps/?appId=243
Release is a month or two away but I'm starting the beta program early as we fine-tune the network code. Other details will come out within the next few weeks while we iron them out. So... what are your questions about the game?
I'm just curious, but I was one of the first to sign up, but I didn't get in. Is it because I have no prior tests?
I'm in too and I'm a little scary to beta test a RPG I think all I want for the moment is to see a screenshot
No I've actually got you on the "alternate" list in case we don't hear back from some people. Only reason being your device is an iPod and at this early stage we're really focusing on testing the network code. Which means mostly iPhones. We know wifi works pretty well... but obviously we're going to get more dropped packets through 3G and EDGE. In fact at this point, most who made it onto the initial list will be used at some point in the coming weeks as we slowly expand the test-base. If things progress well, we'll open up more slots after that. We're having to make some tough decisions now on what we can and can't do based on the amount of information each action requires for transfer. The more testers the better. So thanks again to everyone who applied and if you haven't received an acceptance yet check again in 2-3 weeks.
So is the screenshot out of the question, if you can't/ don't want to show it, we understand. At least I do because I've been in enough betas to know people like to keep it a secret.
