Hello TouchArcade, I'm looking for testers for my new brain training game. It's fast paced - more like a hyper casual game than a traditional brain training game. Currently there are 3 mini-games, with more coming. It's currently iOS only but I am working on Apple Watch support, as I am a fan You can join the TestFlight here -> https://testflight.apple.com/join/3f6AMnqF * Play against the timer in 3 brain training mini-games. Make a single mistake and it's game over! * Word Thirds - make six letter words using 2 letter combinations. * Stroop Test - select the answer that matches the color of the word, not the word itself. * Add It Up - answer the math questions as fast as you can! * Apple Watch support in the works. Any feedback, bugs or suggestions appreciated. Cheers, John
The Watch version of the Add It Up game is now available on TestFlight. And the iPhone version also has a new memory game. if you have a Watch, please give it a go. More Watch games are coming!
Just a quick update - the TestFlight build now includes two Apple Watch mini games. Add It Up and Stroop Test. If you have an Apple Watch, please check it out. You can join the TestFlight here -> https://testflight.apple.com/join/3f6AMnqF
I’m not convinced the Stroop test is working correctly. After scoring around 9 points it always shows a wrong answer despite tapping identical colours. Tried numerous times and I never get further than scoring 9 points or so.
Thanks Asp - is this on the Watch or iPhone? It also looks like the timer runs out faster on the Watch than on the iPhone. I will work on fixing these issues and upload a new build! Cheers, John
Running on iPad. Please also consider adjusting Burst Memory - need to slightly increase display time as digits are added. At 7 digits and above there’s not enough time to read them, yet alone memorise them.
Thanks Asp, this is really valuable feedback! I'll hopefully get a new build up tomorrow - it's late here in Australia
Thanks everyone for playing and providing feedback! I've made some big changes, notably I swapped from the "one strike and you are out" mode to a 60 second mode. So now you can get a wrong answer but still keep playing. I've also fixed up a lot of other little issues so hopefully the games are a little more balanced. Here's what Word Thirds looks like with the 60 second timer. Again, the TestFlight link is: https://testflight.apple.com/join/3f6AMnqF I'm also using the latest Apple SDKs so next up is adding in charting so you can track your progress as you (hopefully) improve at each game Cheers, John
I just did an update with 2 new games - a new word (Four Letters) and a memory game (Reverse Memory). This brings the total games to 6. I'm hoping to launch when I have 8 mini-games. I rewrote the game in SwiftUI so the Watch and iPhone share much of the same code. Let me know what you think! Again, the TestFlight link is: https://testflight.apple.com/join/3f6AMnqF
Hey everyone, the final 2 mini-games are in for the iPhone and Apple Watch. This update also includes a bunch of UI and game balance tweaks. I will be launching with eight games, with more to come over time. Math Function and Shape Count are the 2 new brain games. The TestFlight link is: https://testflight.apple.com/join/3f6AMnqF I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks, John
Hi all, I'm getting closer to releasing the game. I have a new update which features cloud synch between Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad. If you have any of these devices and can check if the synching works, that would be awesome! The TestFlight link is: https://testflight.apple.com/join/3f6AMnqF Also, I am thinking of using the name Brainiversity (which was my previous brain training game) over Smarty Pants. What do you all think? Thanks, John
My brain training game, now called Brainiversity is coming out on the 24th May 2023. I have it on pre-order now, so if you're interested you can pre-order here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/brainiversity-brain-training/id1634372699 Thanks again for the feedback I have gotten from everyone! I am planning to add new mini-games (I have a bunch already designed) - and am very keen to see if I can do some sort of AR games - depending on what Apple announces next month of course
