You actually liked Fable? Braid was one of the best games I've ever played, and a steal at 15 bucks. I'd have to throw in a game no one really talks about, and that's Frontlines: Fuel of War. That was a great, underrated game.
I hear from everyone i know that has the game that Fable 2 is overrated And hmm, I've got Frontlines on the PC and whilst it's pretty good I don't think it's anything to write home about. I don't really like Gears 1 on the PC and that's got better graphics and more content than the 360 version - I guess it's just not my kind of game. Also, about the mention of the controllers, I have a 360 one for my PC (mainly for Bioshock (the only shooter to ever play better with a controller than mouse and keyboard) and GRiD) and whilst I've grown to like it, I think the PS3 one's better. Just the other day a friend remarked upon using a PS3 controller for the first time that he liked it more than the 360 one.
Bioshock PS3 came out more than a year after the 360 version, so it probably should have both of those things. Fallout 3, arguably the Game of the year (I didn't like it, but whatever) has 3 DLC packs that the PS3 doesn't have. GTA IV is the highest scoring game on metacritic ever, so I'm not sure what you're talking about there.
I did say it was my opinion about GTA4 I dunno, it was just such a huge let down for me after San Andreas... And there's actually a lot of people that agree with me. Surely you have to at least admit it's not the best game of all time (which is what reviewers have made it out to be). Fallout 3 ended up getting boring for me after a short while for some reason (it shouldn't, considering I loved Oblivion), are the DLC packs 360 exclusive or are they out on PC? One thing I do have to say, though, is that BOY Oblivion feels laggy on the PS3 - one of the worst ports from PC ever...
I don't understand why you wn't unknown games. I guess they are cheaper, but all the stupendous games are around $50. There are some hidden gems, but they just don't stack up to the expensive games. If you wan't the best possible game, usually you will be shelling out your $50. but moving on.. WHYINTHEWORLDDOYOUNOTLIKEFALLLOUT3????????? The guide book is probably longer than any novel you have ever read, and if you do everything in that game, you will have many, many, many, many hours of gameplay.
Fallout 3 is my favorite game as of now! Lots of replay and diffent story directions. Also fallout is better on the 360 because of the special DLC. Which I happen to own
Prototype, coming both for the x360 and ps3 june 9th, looks like a really good game if you like a game with hack and slash and awesome upgrades it is a must have
How can you say the 360 is more "social" and PS3 more "hardcore"? The 360 and PS3 practically possess the same games apart from a few exclusives.
Go to http://metacritic.com Look at the top lists (score order) for each system. See which games appeal, which genres work for you. And then decide. Fallout DLC is coming to the PS3 I bought a 360 just for REZ HD. I have some others but my PS3 gets far more use (mainly because of Burnout Paradise which is on both systems) Both have good/bad points but it's games that matter so go to metacritic. (Bear in mind that the cost for 360 online is per person not per console.)
Something else to bear in mind - PS3 has wireless built in. Add money to the cost of the 360 for that. The PS3 has bluetooth built in Add money to the cost of the 360 for that. The PS3 plays Bluray 360? Buy a different machine for that.
Castlevania SotN, PQ, and Castle Crashers for the XBLA titles. Hopefully you love FPS cause that's what most of Xbox's best main titles are.
Why would I care/need Bluetooth? Wireless you're right. That's stupid that you have to pay and I would also factor that in like you mentioned. BluRay? Did you know there is already a superior format almost finished? BluRay may have won the format war against HDDVD but it's going to live a short life like the Jazz Drive, UMD, Mini-CD, and all the other failed formats.
I have a bluetooth headset, bluetooth keyboard. Matters to me that I didn't have to pay another pile of cash to get them to work. And formats? We can wage that war elsewhere. Right now with what is in stores the PS3 can play them both, the 360 cannot.
That 'superior format' will most likely not be utilised for many years, this is because with Blu-Ray we are still very early in it's lifespan and Blu-Rays that can store up to 250GB have already been developed, better still, they will work on all present players. See why holographic disks et al will be useless for a very long time?
Right now on the 360 I'm playing through Fallout 3 & Dead Space. Both are really awesome games. Other ones I've really enjoyed recently would be Mass Effect, Bioshock, Gears of War 2. For online multiplayer, Halo 3 and Street Fighter 4. For XBLA titles, Castle Crashers, Braid, and Geometry Wars 2 are tops for me, as well as the ports of Robotron: 2084 and Smash TV. And if you want a slightly lesser-known game that's TONS of fun, check out Earth Defense Force 2017. It's a third person shooter with tons of weapons, and the gameplay is unbelievable. And EVERYTHING in the game can be destroyed. You can level an entire city if you want.
Well that's not fair, now you've got a developer on the 360's side Must go get the guys creating Minigore and Hardgore in here supporting PS3 ^.^
ooh I forgot to mention Braid. awesome game. got the new bionic commando today, I'll let you guys know how it is. my Wii never gets played anymore, but I played the new punch out last night and it's really fun. same classic gameplay Edit: I briefly played Bionic Commando last night. It was late and I was half asleep, but I thought it was pretty cool so far.
