As holiday gifting of iphone and touches is now imminent, I find myself searching through the app store for the best multiplayer/wifi titles available. (must have fun gaming @ family visits!)
I dig Vector Ball, seems like a safe bet for 2-player. And here's hoping I can convince friends to dig into Warfare Inc.

So I dare pose the question - What's your fave(s) for local wifi multiplay?

[sorry if this is a dupe thread, I did search to no avail]

I have only two games which support Wifi and they are Real football 09 and raging thunder. Personally i enjoy RF09 more

At family visits i think Monopoly or UNO would be great.

Flick Fishing also does wi-fi local play (as well as hot seat play on a single iPhone).

    Just from my own apps:

Asphalt, Real Soccer, Wave Blazer - I've never gotten multiplayer to work.

Ace Tennis - the lag is absolutely unbearable.

Chess With Friends - a great concept and I've had no problems whatsoever, even running it on Edge

after few updates i really like "Adrenaline Pool Online", spent many many hours with it.
also "Quick Draw" have great concept, but not much people playing it, rooms are always empty.

Uno is a very good game when it works online. I hate the network error problem.

Astroware board games the AI sucks if your looking for a real challenge but all their games work with local wifi. Chess, Backgammon, Checkers, Reversi, Nine Men's Morris and few kiddie ones.

    Scrabble works great

Real Soccer 2009 cuts off for me as soon as I tap to skip intro....doesn't work for me kinda pissed.

Touch FS 5 Hockey I can never get working over local wifi (broken)

    Texas Holdem

Beam Chess - is laser chess haven't bought it yet but it only has local wifi no AI so was hesitant but most likely will take the plunge.

Five in a Row (Sequence) the new update soon to come out will have local wifi and I intend to play it again when it does.

Hexy is game of hex play wifi. I don't own it so can't vouch if wifi works or not but looks really polished but so does Touch FS Hockey and that one doesn't work wifi.

(oh how I wish these games had mutliplayer)
    Orions
Triads and Sets both about same....first to find match.
Lux Dlx (you'd think $8 would get you this but no)
Spin - I wish there wasn't a time limit just play with two people same shape and whoever solves it first gets a point. First to 10 wins.
Guan - card game probably my biggest request
Spot the difference games - any one of these games would be great multiplayer as two compete to either find all or eliminate ones found and whoever get at least 3 outta the 5 wins.

    No love for Galcon?

Galcon is the only game I really keep coming back to. The lite version is fun for a while, but for five bucks the full version has online multiplayer and rankings. Definitely worth it in my opinion.

Lux DLX needs wifi multiplayer, I'm really surprised they didn't add it.

And I can't wait for Warfare Incorporated to get multiplayer.

Those are probably the 2 best for family gatherings ;)

  14. sweet Crossbones adds multiplayer (either Local LAN or internet play and single too) exactly like Triads and Sets

oops seems like Sets was yanked for trademark infrigement using same name oh well as official game

Has my vote. Plus it's the only game I know of that has online multiplayer and not just local (besides Chess with Friends).
