When it comes to perfomance and speed no browser is and shouldn't be faster than Safari, they can only be worse or equal at best. I believe you should specify in what scope you're comparing browsers in: best UI, most functions, most beatiful, Overally better (excluding perfomance and speed), etc.
I don't know really while safari is quick it has trouble rendering more than 3 pages properly and crashes frequently,Opera and dolphin turned out to be just terrible with crashing every 5 minutes not to mention lag,Chrome was the inly good browser imo. It's weird because the sitaution is exact reverse on my android, chrome sucks but opera and dolphin are gold,Ucwebrowser is good on both ios and android,I'm not sure if it's my device but the performance of all browsers is far worse than it is on my android device(low end).
I don't use it for browsing, but Photon is java-enabled, so I can play games on it, stream moveez; do all the lovely Java things.
It's on Android only as it seems like Firefox won't be at the AppStore until Apple allow them to use their own browsing engine.
I use Safari most of the time, but i´m quite happy with iCab mobile, too which let´s you download things via the browser. It has quite a lot of features.
Just using Safari for work and it hasnt failed me yet to push me into getting a different browser. I also use it regularly to check my most visited websites daily. Never had any problems with it.
I just use safari too, it does the job I need it too, it crashes occasionally but less than the others I've tried.
