I really like GeoDefense, but the difficulty ramped up so quickly I couldn't make it past the last level in the lite version. I like the strategy involved in field runners, where you carve paths through the battlefield with your towers. It gets especially interesting with multiple entry and exit points. It's also cool how you can change the maze at the last minute as a wave is about to get through and force them to go back the way they came. I'm also going to throw in a plug for Zombie Parade which I released in Mid December. It's a lane based tower defense game. You've got five lanes which you need to defend separately and instead of getting gold by killing monsters, there's a little bit of RTS thrown in with the concept of building structures to increase energy production and having your structures destroyed by the approaching monsters. I like the lane based concept (probably made famous by Plants VS Zombies) because of the strategy involved in having to defend multiple areas at once. The RTS aspect also allows you to play with the concept of walls and explosives.
someone made a chart about all the TD games, I saw it it one the threads a couple weeks ago but I don't remember which one and I can't find it now. Anyone know which thread the chart I'm talking about was in?
yeah thats the thread I thought it was in but after scanning through it its not the one. The chart I'm talking about is a big boxed chart that someone made comparing all the TD games.
This is so ignorant. So either we played Defender Chronicles and loved it or we didn't play it? Pfft yeah right. I played Defender Chronicles and have to say it's one of the worst Defense games. The huge amount of swiping around later in the game to see the other parts of the map is extremely annoying. There's also little challenge in the game once you get familiar with which enemies come in which wave. The predetermined path only makes it even easier. Once you get to a high level, there's no point playing the earlier maps, which makes its replayability more or less the same with any other TD. I'd recommend Geodefense Swarm for the creativity in creating your own path, good effects, and best challenge any TD game has to offer.
yeah I'm one of the people who thinks Defender Chronicles is just good, not great, or at least not as great as some make it out to be.
This link was in the thread. It might be what you're after? http://docs.google.com/View?id=ddsgs66m_2047mt5jgt
Yes thats it. Big thanks for finding it, for some reason I didnt remember it as a link. Good chart they just need to update it with a few of the newer TD games.
Pinch, zoom-out. Are we playing the same game? I'll grant that it's not hard to beat most levels on the easiest difficulty, but that's not the primary goal of the game. Higher difficulty levels can be challenging indeed! Eh? Even the earlier maps increase in challenge with each difficulty level. Getting 5 stars is easier said than done. Not that I'm saying you should suddenly change your mind and love DF. But your arguments against it don't make much sense. ________ Vaporizer wiki
+1 Anyone that prepares a lengthy missive criticizing defender chronicles and leaves out the need to grind never gave the game a chance and shouldnt post about it. The game is fun...up to heroic. Beyond that, not so much.

I haven't played too many TD games but so far I have to say that The Creeps Is my favourite love the cartoony graphics! And the new update sounds awesome!
my favourites are either warp defense, bloons td, or zombie attack 2. but bloons td is the better of the three. its special
