Yes, sadly the genre of survival horror is very lacking on the iOS platform. There are only two games I might consider decent horror games, and those are Dead Space and Papa Sangre. Can't wait for when a new game, Forgotten Memories, comes out. That should be really good. But yeah, there are very little noticeable games of the genre.
They're dying out on consoles too. Everyone seems to be headed into action (Resident Evil 5) or some kind of arcade-like comedy sub-genre (Dead Rising). I don't know what happened either, it was a steady genre for a while with the likes of Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Alone In The Dark etc... it's gotta make a comeback at some point.
Yeah, why wasn't there ever an updated version of Silent Hill made? Or they could've fixed Soul and made it move faster. Slim pickins these days for these kinds of games, but I still look out for good ones!
