It seems there is a game that just went to FREE called SurfaceSeizr, in the Bix vein. It also looks on the simple side. DLing now...

I thought it looked a bit drab as well.

So far, I like Zoneout the best. Maybe it's because of global rankings.

Yeah, I just played it for a minute and deleted it. It's like Bix with bad controls, Never mind - nothing to see (or play) here...

I rarely submit my score on ZoneOut, since I don't play it all that often.

I always use DonBurns99 for everything though.

LOL and I thought Dr Awesome was like that DS game - I think it's called Trauma Center where you try to precisely perform surgeries. So it's a qix style huh? I shall go look!

I thought the same thing originally myself, but it is more like Qix.

Amateur Surgeon is more like the Trauma Center games. ^ ^

In Dr. awesome, you have to trap the virus in a small area by slicing pieces of the cell away, so the playing field gets smaller as you go. It's the same style, just with the captured area falling away once taken.

Yea, I'd recommend it. It has good humor and a good amount of difficulty. I'm surprised it isn't talked about more.

I looked at it, but same thing no one ever really said they had played it, so I never got it, I might have to add it to my snipe list...

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Firetail yet. I haven't played a lot of these games, but I really liked that one. I haven't tried the second version, but I really liked the old school style of the first one.

I do think it's a little shady how instead of updating the first one, they pulled it then released version 2, but I still like version 1.

I personally liked Bix. Dr. Awesome is very cool, but I just generally don't like accelerometer controlled games

When I saw the title of this thread, I was like, "Who the hell would ask about a QIX style game? What the sht" only to find it's my own thread from 2009.

I just got an iPad Pro 9.7 and I'm getting back into Appstore gaming. I'm looking for some modern iOS games like Dr Awesome. Any suggestions?
