There's also Gun, which is pretty good if a bit repetitive. BTW, The Warriors is a very cool game.

Hm... I always thoought that The Warriors was level-based. I really have to get this now. I was looking at Gun too, but it looks like your enemies don't seem to do too much in terms of retaliation.

As for Midnight Club, I've never been a big fan. The only driving games that aren't kart racers that I like are Burnout, Stuntman: Ignition, and Split/Second, and I already have Burnout Legends.

Warriors is only $10 on PSN now. Just to carry on the rockstar theme, Manhunt 2 is $10 also (not a sandbox).

I'm stuck on what to buy next too... all I have are Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Loco Roco.

I've got a load of PSOne Classics, I just haven't copied them over yet, and I've got 10 free games coming on Wednesday from the UK Go deal, so apart from those... what's a must have?

    Excluded games are:

    Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
    Gran Turismo
    James Cameron’s AVATAR
    LittleBigPlanet
    MotorStorm Arctic Edge
    Need for Speed SHIFT
    Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice
2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
    WipEout Pure

Assassin's Creed looked pretty good, although I havn't actually played it yet. Obviously GTA is a must-have, but I can't pick anything else. Maybe Pursuit Force, since that looked good too.

A lot of the better games aren't even on your list though. Here's some other good ones to get:

    Crisis Core (MUST HAVE)
    Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
    Burnout Legends
    Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
    Metal Gear Ac!d (either game)

Also, does anyone have MGS: Portable Ops (Or MGS:pO+) or Burnout Legends that wants to play online? I tried playing them online, but I couldn't find any games.

I'm not so sure on the differences between Europe's and US PSN, but...wait for Tues. and pick up Peace Walker.

It's coming out Tuesday?! I thought it was coming out the 26th!

And convieniently enough, I just got an extra $20, so after trading in Call of Duty: Reflex and Army of Two the 40th Day (idk, I'm just kinda bored of it), I'll have about $60, including some money I found earlier. Now I have enough for either Red Dead Redemption (if I can get it), Alan Wake, or MGS: Peace Walker and some older games.

+1 for MGS Peace Walker. Other than the iDevice version, I've never played a MGS game before. I was so impressed by the demo version of Peace Walker that I even broke my own rule of never paying full price (>$40) for a video game and preordered a copy from amazon. Well, it's actually $25 since amazon is giving $10 credit for future game purchase and $5 worth of mp3 downloads. And, of course, no tax. Gotta love amazon. :)

Gran Turismo may be worth checking out now that SONY has reduced the price to $20.

It may be a sacrilege to admit this here but since I bought my PSP about 4 months ago it's become my preferred gaming device. I've hardly bought any new game for my iPod Touch since then.

Yeah I'll be getting Peace Walker anyway, I think it's out on the 18th over here. Crisis Core looks great but it's not on PSN so that rules it out for me. I might pick up Burnout Legends in the meantime.

    Oh, and how's Dissidia?

I don't actually blame you. If more developers would pay attention to the PSP, it could be such a better system. Just take a look at games that are on both the DS and PSP, like Burnout Legends. It's one of the finest games on the PSP, and actually looks almost exactly like the PS2 version of Burnout 3, but on the DS, due to reducing graphics, the gameplay also turned out terrible, as the phyiscs were also messed up, and ended up being the worst Burnout game ever. Then compare Medal of Honor Heroes/Heroes 2 to the DS Call of Duty games. The DS could never handle that, yet developers focus on that system, rather than the PSP. It couldn't handle the GTA Stories games, so they made Chinatown Wars, which looked MUCH better on the iPhone and PSP.

That said, PSP is technically the best system going, and even better if you have a hackable PSP (unfortunately, the only hackable one I have is missing the battery, and is otherwise screwed up, and my non-hackable one is, well, not hackable.)

Oh, you got a PSP Go? See, that's the thing, there's so many great games that are only on UMD. Is there any way to convert UMD's to play on the Go?

And I really like Dissidia. It's a really original game, and there's a TON to do, so you'll be going back for more. There's a demo to give you an idea of the combat system, but there's SO much more in the full game. If you like the demo, then it's definitely worth the full price.

Yeah I got the Go 'cause of the "10 free games" deal, as far as I can tell the only UMD game I care much about is Crisis Core so I don't mind too much.

I forgot about the demo, downloading that now :)

No, I got the 3000 model. I wouldn't have bought the Go model even if it was priced same as the 3000 model. I like the fact that you can buy used games for your PSP x000 for much lower prices. Not to mention, you can sell them once you finish or get tired of them. I've found that if you're patient and persistent, you can buy most used PSP games on ebay for under $20. I recently bought a used FIFA 10 game for about $20 on ebay. If you're a Go owner and want to play this game you've no choice but to fork $40 for the experience. Also, I got GTA Vice City Stories for $5 which still sells for $20 in the PSN store. Basically, if you've a Go, you're confined to paying full price for almost every game.

Yeah, I agree. Though I'm a relative newcomer to the world of PSP and have played only about 10 games (plus many demos), I can't say enough how very impressed I'm with this technology. The PSP gaming experience is just so much better compared to the iDevice gaming one. That's why it boggles my mind that SONY hasn't seriously updated this device since introducing it 4 (?) years ago. Can you imagine how incredible handheld gaming device it would be if SONY were to upgrade the hardware on this thing with latest advances?:)

From the Playstation Store. You can access it directly from your PSP. You can also download the Media Go software and go from there.

That's another reason I bought the Go, I don't buy used games and I never sell my games. I used to trade quite a lot back in the PSX/N64 days, but not anymore simply because I can afford to fuel my hobby with money to spare :)

Media Go if you do not have a PS3, IF you have a PS3 you can go to the PS Store, and if you still don't have a PS3 you can download games off of your PSP but it takes a REALLY long time.

But my favorite games so far are:

Modnation Racers PSP: Mario Kart on steroids

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake: JUST like the PS3 version with a 50% longer campaign.

What Did I Do To Deserve This?, My Lord 2: Hard to describe but it's a RPG element game where you get to make dungeon's n' stuff. There's a demo too.

Resistance Retribution: Truly stunning and epic gameplay.

GTA Chinatown Wars: Nothin' much to say here.

Gran Turismo PSP: It's GT for the PSP.

Hot Shots Tennis: Get a Grip: It comes out next week or so and is gonna be a blast to play.

Oh and don't forget Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters.

Motorstorm: Arctic Edge: Very fun off road racer.

Burnout Legends: Like other's have said.

    Final Fantasy Dissidia: Nuff' said.

GOW:Chains Of Olympus: One of the best PSP games ever made, second to MGS: Peace Walker

MGS: Peace Walker: Just buy it or try the demo and be amazed.

Hot Shots Golf Open Tee 2: This game is classic, if you don't even like Golf you'll still like this one.
