It's a mini. It's on sale for $2.99 till tomorrow off it's regular price of $7.99. From the reviews, it seems the major gripe was the initial cost compared with its length. So for $2.99, it should be worth it. I haven't gotten it, but from the videos I've watched, it's the only game that's "real time".

    O. I don't have a PSP mini. Guess there's no options then?

No no no... PSP Mini's are small games (under 20mb if I'm correct) that are cheap. Usually causal games, or something like iDracula, where you don't sit down and play it until you beat it, but rather come back over and over.

Correct. I'd say for $3 it's probably a safe bet for ya. Just sign into PSN>Downloadable Games>Minis>Zombie Tycoon.

I want to pick up a $20 game for my PSP GO. I did some searching and found a few on the PSN that I want, but thought I would ask you all. the games are:

    Medal of Honor Heroes 2
    Grand Theft Auto Vice City
    Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron
Jak and Daxter: The Last Frontier
SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Tactical Strike
    Twisted Medal: Head On
    GUN: Showdown

Also, does anyone know of a good PSP forum. I run across a few when I look for the weekly sales, but haven't really been able to find a good one.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You won't go wrong with GTA VC or Jak and Daxter. SOCOM has many fans as well. Medal of Honor Heroes 2 got tedious for me (in general, FPS on the PSP are a waste of time in my view). Twisted Metal was alright for me, but I know people who swear by it. GUN is interesting, particularly in light of Red Dead Redemption. There's a lot to like about the game, but I personally felt that the combat got way too repetitive and the RPG elements were not deep enough. It's an open-world/sandbox type game, but a lot of the terrain is just simply empty and kind of boring. Also, the horse-riding controls were pretty bad (and, unfortunately you spend a lot of time on your horse). Voice acting is great, though, and it has a ridiculous amount of content.

As far as PSP forums, can't help you there.

What do you mean by too tedious for MoH. A lot of controls to remember? I've been watching videos, and it looks pretty cool. Different environments and a fair share of guns. Are there no new mission objectives? is it too hard?
I've kinda thrown out GUN, I'd rather wait for a sale with RDR. And this SOCOM looks great, but the review scores are over the place (I'm guessing its because of the game play style). Have you played Tactical Strike? I have SOCOM 2, and tactical strike seems to encompass a little more strategy.

If you want a decent online FPS MoH is probably your best bet, but there are a ton of hackers online. The single player was ok.

Tedious as in long and repetitive, with near-zero AI on enemies. Aiming on a d-pad kind of blows, too, and you constantly find yourself getting killed because you couldn't move the reticule fast enough (it's been a while, but I don't think it had auto-aim). I gave up on it about 3/4 in when I got stuck in a ridiculous timed level.

I'm sure MoH on the PSP has its fans, I'm just not one of them.

I've narrowed down my choices to GTA: Vice City, Twisted Metal: Head On, and Field Commander. Three different genres, and all three look incredibly fun. I wish I was on a PSP forum where it would be appropriate to post a poll.

Not sure if you can make a poll, but this is the forum I frequent for PSP related stuff(outside of homebrew): http://boardsus.playstation.com/t5/PSP-PlayStation-Portable/ct-p/psp

It's not as busy as the PS3 section or whatnot, but it's still pretty active.

Based on those three choices you have there, I'd have to says Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice ;)

Seriously though that game kicks ass, but outta the three you have there I'd say GTA is your safest bet. Coming in at a close second is Twisted Metal, never tried Field Commander.

Wow. Those forums are dead! Something definitely needs to be done with the PSP. It is a beautiful device. The liveliness of everything iPhone these days is overwhelming, which is why I've deferred to my PSP. I wanted so much from my iPod at the beginning that it became an extreme disappointment after 3 generations, games still don't have the depth and re-playability of PSP/DS games on the whole.
I really want GTA, but I hate getting busted. I don't know what it is about dying or being busted, but it ruins a game for me. Mostly because it usually happens because of shitty game physics and controls instead of a lack of skill.
I went with Field Commander + a Mini. I don't have a TBS on my Go, and the videos look impressive. I enjoy the real life look as opposed to Mecho War or Advance Wars. Twisted Metal looks really fun, and will probably be my next purchase.

I'd go with GTA. You'll get more hours out of it. Not too many ppl play Twisted online, last time I checked. And I've never heard of Field Commander.

In GTA if you die or get busted you can just bribe to get all your weapons back. One problem I had with the game is that later on when you have lots of businesses you basically have to babysit them every 2 minutes or so from gang attacks.

I only played Vice City a bit on my friend's PSP and it was a lot of fun. Not sure about the campaign, but the game was overall fun. I have Twisted Metal, and it was pretty much the only game I played during my entire vacation. It's such a fun game, but I'm not sure if it'd give you as much for your money as GTA would. And Field Commander, never played it, but it seems like a decent game.

Your call from there I guess.

I must say, content-wise, I prefer GTA CTW on the iPhoneto GTA Liberty City Stories and GTA Vice City on the PSP. Sure, it's fun to play in a 3rd person PoV, but both VC and LCS have some pretty glaring flaws and no where near the amount of content as CTW

Chinatown Wars over both Vice and Liberty City Stories. I haven't played Vice City Stories, but if it is similar to Liberty City Stories, than I'll stick with Chinatown Wars. The 3D GTA Games just doesn't seem as good on PSP, but that doesn't mean they're bad games, mind you ;)

Just curious, but how bad is the sexual content in the game? I really don't care about much else, but it just says strong sexual content, but no nudity or anything. If it's avoidable, I might give it a shot sometime, but otherwise, it depends on the content.

Btw, who else is going to get Peace Walker eventually?

Peace Walker FTW!! I have already pre-ordered it. It looks SO sick

As for sexual content, it's about as much as GTA CTW for the iPhone
