Since summer has started for me, I was looking for some dirt cheap single player games on the 360 and DS games with some games I am going to trade in.

    Suggestions Please!

Any particular genre you enjoy more than others?

I've seen Mario 64 DS go for $5. The controls aren't as bad as some people say; I just wish there was a way to disable that horrible useless dash attack...

Um...they were pretty bad. Great game for the nostalgia, but I don't think I ever got used to the controls. Or I got used to the controls, but it was never 'comfortable'. It's hard to explain.

I found the controls good enough to whiz through the game with all stars in around 6 hours. Good port.

RS: Vegas 1 & 2 are good games for the 360, and pretty cheap.

You beat all of Mario 64 with all stars in 6 hours?! Can't believe it. That's 120 stars at 3 min a piece without any slip-ups.
But it is a good game for DS. My favorite was probably Speed Racer, Metroid was pretty good too.

    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
I'll just list off any old games that are most likely under $20 for the 360 that I enjoyed:

Dead Rising (if you're going to get any of them off this list, make it this one)
BioShock (ok, maybe this one instead)
    Fallout 3 (or this one)
    Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
    Stuntman: Ignition
    Burnout: Revenge
    Battlefield 2: Modern Combat
    Skate 1/2
    Lost Odyssey
Gears of War 1 (don't know about 2's price, but it's an amazing game as well)
    GTA IV
Condemned: Criminal Origins (2 might be pretty cheap by now too)
    Assassin's Creed 1 (2 isn't cheap yet)
    Left 4 Dead 1

    DS:
Phoenix Wright 1-3 are under 20
    The World Ends With You
Call of Duty 4 and World at War (Mobilized is still full price)
    Mario Kart DS
Dementium (Dementium 2's out! Who knew!)
Touch the Dead (it's gotta be pretty cheap by now... kind of a meh game, but I enjoyed it)
Resident Evil: Deadly Silence (one of the best DS games out there)
Final Fantasy III (don't know about IV's price)
Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time

I think that should be good enough

Actually it's 150. Maybe 6 hours was a bit ambitious, but it was within one day. Did half, had dinner, did the other half. I've played 64 through countless times so there's nothing I really mess up on.

I got a copy of TES:Morrowind for about $7, it's a lot better than Oblivion IMO.

    Halo:CE, good classic
    L4D2
    Modern Warfare 1, i'm pretty sure they're about $15-20
    The Orange Box

    Yup.

FPS/RPG, but I'm looking for single player
(friend gave me borderlands for a month, loving it!)

You Pwn good sir. Except I hate Oblivion for some reason; is fallout 3 different enough to get?

Edit: and i don't like the camera/walking controls of gears.

Why don't you like Oblivion? If it's because it's too simple, get Morrowind. If it's because it's too complicated... I would stay away from Morrowind.

People might tell you they're similar... 'cause they are, but I hate Oblivion too, and Fallout 3 is one of the best games I've ever played. It's a strange phenomenon.

I can see why you would hate Oblivion. I personally like it, but it gets a bit slow or boring at points, like when you have to do those quests for that whack job in Skingrad. It gets a bit boring. Plus, the leveling system is straight up weird. Fallout 3 is a bit more action-packed, has much fewer slow moments, and a leveling system that's really easy to understand. Plus, it has the Bloody Mess perk, which should be enough for anyone.

And I'm sure there's plenty of stuff on that list. I also forgot to mention Devil May Cry IV and Call of Duty 4, World at War, and 2, all very good games.

RPG I loved for the 360: Eternal Sonata, get it. The First Mass Effect and Gears of War 1+2 should be cheap as well.

    DS:

    The World Ends With You
and if you feel like giving a quirky music game a try, then pick up Elite Beat Agents.

I don't feel like repeating other peoples list lol, seems like most(that I would've recommended) has been mentioned.

P.S. I hated Oblivion as well.

Looks like I will check fallout 3 then, and @somerandomdude, looking for more single player games becuase I don't have to worry about the multiplayer community being very small and very amazing. And I have cod's 3-6. But loving your list!

Oh, for single player, go with Fallout 3, Bioshock, Lost Odyssey, Devil May Cry 4, GTA IV, Burnout Revenge, Dead Rising, and Stuntman: Ignition. I played all of those (except GTA which I havn't played yet) on single player even though some had multiplayer, and I never got bored. Check them out.
