Sorry I'm posting results right now. I had a 12 hour seminar to attend for the last two days and the Football season started too
1. Chop Sushi! 2. Plank 3. Beetlelines (free) 4. Don't know if this counts, but Collumns Deluxe. Having tried another.
I'll vote for Smiles, but Smiles Drop specifically. That game can get pretty intense, especially during high level play. You'll be juggling your iPhone, spinning it left and right to keep the combo going. The sound will intensify and get higher and higher pitched. And if you make even the slightest mistake, you'll have to start your chain all over again. This game was recognized critically and was nominated for some big awards, but it never really caught fire with the public at large. My guess is that it got (unfairly) lumped in with all of the other slower paced games in the genre. I wish there were videos online of high level play. Of somebody spinning their iPhone back and forth to try to break rocks. Then, I bet it would finally make it to one of the top seller lists. Especially now at its lower price point.
Yeh ToM seems very popular for match 3. I haven't got it yet. I might try it out, but PuzzleQuest is so good and has so much depth that I don't think I'll bother.
Personally I think Treasures of Montezuma is the best one of all. You should definitely get it. Not the same as Puzzlequest.
