I did some research in finding the movies mostly regarded as some of the best ever. What would you vote for number one? Since there are so many great ones, I narrowed it down to the 90's and 2000's. "SHOULD HAVE ADDED" LIST: -Saving Private Ryan -Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas -Donnie Darko -The Dark Knight -The Pianist - No Country for Old Men
Gladiator, Braveheart, Avatar, Happy Gilmore, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and Star Wars Episodes are all incredible
Ignoring the massive plot-holes in the first three episodes, there's no way you're arguing the last three weren't, to put it in lighter terms, male cow manure.
Of the movies you listed, I voted for Schindler's List. Although I enjoyed Avatar, and most of the others listed, I believe Schindler's List was the best all around (best written, directed, and photographed.) But my personal favorite movie from 1990s - 2000s is Mulholland Drive. It's a work of genius.
I said this was for 90's to 2000's, not earlier. The Godfather is the best movie ever, let alone the 70's.
It's a sort of paradox in a way. It's kind of like that book "A Wrinkle in Time", where, like the wrinkle, the movie makes perfect sense for a split second, then you're pretty much going... wha? Good movie.
Why the **** is, - Saving Private Ryan - The Bourne Series - Donnie Darko not on here? I REFUSE TO VOTE WITHOUT THESE FILMS!!!
