Cash Cow (match 3ish game with coins, great for the whole family) and Alchemize (deep, deep strategy, but still fun and accessible).
Reiner Knizia's Roto is really good. It's match 3, but with a difference. Also, there are 3 different game modes. I also quite like Dragon Portals.
I think Bejeweled is pretty monotonous so I play: Smiles Sliders reMovem Flipside SeaGlass Trism BoXiKon (old mac classic) Reiner Knizia's Monumental Reiner Knizia's Roto Connectors KaGlom
Picked up XenoWars because I like the battle component. Gets hard to keep track of what's happening however and the tiles are bit finicky to move. May pick up Dragon Portals (also already got Similes as a freebie). Thanks for all the suggestions - know there's probably a 1,000 of them out there.
Gemmed! and the original Treasures of Montezuma are the only Match 3 that still get play time on my iPod. I'm also about 75% of the way through "Rise of Atlantis" which I really enjoy. But not sure I will go back to it once I'm done.
well I have made same question couple months ago... since then Ive run trough all major ones and believe me.. Montezuma (1 or 2) is the best!! hands down
Best match-3 My absolute favorite is gem spinner -- it's not a traditional match-3 but it brings a really interesting twist to them (you can rotate pieces of the puzzle to find additional matches).
I've tried dark harvest (got when it was free) and really can't get the hang of it. Don't think I've managed to get past a level yet.
Just tried the lite version of Cash Cow, really good game. I'll probably buy the full version once I get home.
I know this doesn't answer the "which is best" question, but I'm maintaining a list of match-3 games for iPhone here: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AvGsp6zBFGBtcFFIOTFIbS1nN0J0VGltTlN4Z25CVlE&hl=en I hadn't actually added to it in a while, so there were a bunch of new ones from this thread. (And quite a few I downloaded, so thanks!) FWIW, in my very limited playing (last hour or so), I've been really digging BitFLIP and Roto.
Glad you mentioned Connectors Hope you liked it. I liked Boxi as well, picked it up when it was free for a while
I can't believe I've barely seen Charmed mentioned in this thread. Polished and lots of fun. If you like these kinds of games, you'll loved Charmed.
